Hi gang

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a good deal on this monitor since missing the Dell stacked coupon one and then the Amazon low price one. This one is actually cheaper than both!

The U3415W is available right now at the microsoft store with free shipping for $930 plus tax:
http://www.microsoftstore.com/sto....313212500

If you use an education discount (10%, need valid edu address) and then the text message promo (text MSHS to 29502 for an extra 5%), the price goes down to $795 plus tax.

This is probably the best price you will get on this puppy for a while. Just ordered one myself.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Just to clarify, If you buy from Microsoft.com you will get:
3-year Limited Hardware Warranty
3-year Advanced Exchange Service
You will not get:
3-years Premium Panel Guarantee

To get the 3-years Premium Panel Guarantee you MUST buy it from Dell.com

Hmm, should I pay my car insurance on time or get an awesome monitor?

anyone know how this compares to the LG and Samsung curved 34 inch displays on the market right now? Haven't had much luck finding a lot of direct comparisons.

The dell is the best curved 21:9 out. Revision A01 has the least amount of BLB/IPS glow. Plus you get a 3 year warranty. Also, the best stand of the three.

EDIT: You do not get pixel perfect guarantee.

Went ahead and ordered one. I had just purchased the LG 34UM95 from amazon warehouse deals in "Acceptable" condition for $700. Looks like I'll have to send it back now.

After .edu + text + discover 5%, ill be $826.96. So for $130 more i'll get: Curved screen, an additional 2 years of warranty, and a better stand.

A SDer in another Dell monitor thread mentioned the warranty is only good if you order directly from Dell. Can someone confirm that Dell honors the 3 yr. Pixel Perfect warranty if you order from another retailer?

Gotta be careful with that Pixel Perfect guarantee - last time we went through this, it was decided that you have to buy from Dell Direct in order to actually get the 3-year guarantee.

Nice! I was able to apply the edu discount without even verifying my email. It might have been verified in the past but it seemed to accept the promo before I even logged in. Anyway, time to sell my LG 34UM95.. anyone interested?
