Sounds like the problem Walmart created by bringing in the new Total Wireless plans.

Walmart opened up "Total Wireless" plans in their stores using most Verizon towers. $25 unlimited text/talk. $35 unlimited tex/talk and 1.5GB data. I went to find reviews... Why did walmart agree to use them in their stores? Most reviews say phone numbers are never transferred. New phones are not activated. Total Wireless tech support employees have no idea what they are doing. I guess wait until reviews come in about any plan and see who is behind these plans. Losing access to your cell for up to a week sounds like a nightmare.

What are the roaming fees? I'm going to be driving through Montana and I want to make sure I'll have service, even if it isn't 4g.

Given that the this is only $2 more than LycaMobile's unlimited talk/text with 100MB data plan, this seems like a very good deal.

On the other hand, it seems their coverage doesn't include regional partners, so it's not as good if you're outside of urban areas.

Their page says you cannot port T-Mobile numbers. I'm wondering if this includes T-Mobile MVNOs. If anyone successfully ports a number from another T-Mobile MVNO (i.e. LycaMobile, BrightSpot, MetroPCS) please post or add it to the wiki.

We are only referring to T-Mobile direct and the partnership with Walmart Family T-Mobile. All other MVNO will port. Regional roaming partners are all included- no charge. Sorry about the confusion

Correct, this is unlimited cellular voice text and data plan with 1GB 4G LTE, speed is slowed/throttled after 1GB is used up. Not VoIP.

Wish I stayed in the city so I could take advantage of these T-mobile MVNOs!!! Zero T-mobile signal at the cabin and most of my hunting and fishing areas.
