My message to the SD staff and to you, about the redesign

So I finally replied to them today but I'm tired of the BS and of just being a bug finder and not getting any help from SD staff in that thread.

So I'm going to go back to Classic and if this redesign is ever implemented with the horrible, eye straining and page wasting format it currently is, then I'll quit hanging out on SD at that point.
And I switched back to Classic. For those of you who haven't tried out the redesign or switched back right away, you need to be aware of some of the current, 'fixes' they have implemented in the new redesign.

There's more than the 8 items listed below, but this is the worst of it. If you care about where SD is going, I suggest you let them know what you think about these "improvements".

1) No post count! No signature! No Location! Etc.

2) All Avatars are much smaller and no longer animated.

3) The OP's avatar has been removed

4) You can't close or minimize the ads on the right of the screen

5) You can't click on a post number and get a single post view, it shows all the posts below that one too. Not good if you want to have someone view just that post.

6) You can't quote the OP (might be fixed at some point, never got a firm answer)

7) You can't expand the reply box to make it taller so you can't see/read the quote of the person you quoted while typing a response to them.

8) Spacing: On your average deal thread, with the current redesign spacing, you have to scroll down through FIVE separate boxes of stuff for the OP/Wiki before you get to the first reply. Several threads I tried this with, on average required me to page down three times just to get to the first reply.

And it just keeps getting worse instead of better. Now you can't even read the entire OP if it is more than two lines. The only way to read it is to find the "view forum thread" link and go to that, which is where I still want to go directly to from the thread list page. This is what the first post in this thread looks like now. All you get to see is the first line. I can't believe Mr Slickdeals hasn't pulled the plug on this disaster of a redesign yet. I wonder if he is still even involved in the site any more or if he has moved on to other things?

They were just testing a fix for that bug. it should be rolled out very soon.

Actually I think it has rolled out already... 45 minutes ago.
