Hi everyone

We wrote a guide on how to and what to submit for Slickdeals rebates. It includes all current information, where to find it, and what it even looks like.

You can find it here. Free free to comment here or below in the article as we are still looking for ways to improve the process.

Thank you Smilie

You folks kind of run this like a shady, fly by night operation. You take down rebate pages quickly, you provide no phone number, & you apparently deny a lot of solid submissions (by design), if my recent rebate request is any indication.

I received a boiler plate response on a December HP ($50) rebate yesterday that was a simple click through rebate about possible reasons my rebate didn't go through. I can think of one pink elephant reason not suggested (and most applicable) though!

We're all VERY familiar with click through portals here (fw, urlhasbeenblocked, UR, urlhasbeenblocked, old Bing, etc) but I guess there's a reason why we mostly use your competitors for rebates. They actually pay! They also have established systems & forms to rectify errors, they don't hide behind a single email.

No, I didn't use ad blockers. Yes I purchased item on click through, & yes, I completely fulfilled terms of rebate.

Ghetto.

I agree 110% I submitted a rebate with ALL the proper paperwork and it was denied. I won't be fooled by them again!

I'm awaiting final resolution by rebates@slickdeals.net until end of work week.

If you did your part, and you feel it seems more reasonable than not that you did, by all means I suggest you file in small claims against SlickDeals LLC at your local county courthouse. Where I live, it's a $30 fee (+ $10 fee for court clerk to serve them by certified mail); you'll be reimbursed both fees in court upon winning your case, just politely remind the Judge if it's not already self evident.

If Josh Meyers (CEO of SD and Agent for Service of Process in California) starts getting a bunch of these, I suspect any further potentially shoddy rebate practice(s) will not be a worthwhile endeavor for Slickdeals, LLC, and perhaps they'll go back to paying a 3rd party rebate clearinghouse that has a phone number, and accountability. I'm open to the idea they simply made a mistake though.

Check your Secretary of State website search for process agent info. I suppose it is the same, in which case certified mail by court clerk should be sufficient. Feel free to hit me up for more info. Cheers.

I was always a big fan of Slickdeals until today.

I agree with the ripoff thoughts. I purchased a Dell XPS desktop with a rebate if purchase by 3/11. I purchased the Dell XPS on 3/11 at 8:21PM and received a confirmation email from Dell with that date and time. Dell did not process the order until the next day so the invoice required for the rebate showed a purchase date of 3/12/16. One day past the deadline. I called the company that processes the rebate. They have escalated my case to the next level after discussing with a supervisor but I do not hold out much hope. Unless I get resolved in my favor I will not be buying anything from slickdeals. I will find the deal on slickdeals and then click off and order it directly so that slickdeals does not get their cut.

I smell a class action lawsuit.

as mentioned above in the wiki, you can contact the slickdeals rebates team for assistance, if desired: rebates@slickdeals.net

per the guide linked in the first post of this thread, it's helpful if you format your email as followed:

Quote :
If you want to email us with questions about a rebate, please make sure you enter the following into the subject line:

Subject: Problem with Rebate for SKD-##### (offer ID)
Example: Problem with Dell Rebate for SKD-10031

For the body of the email, please include a short description of your problem along with your rebate tracking number so we can forward this over to our rebate processor. All rebate inquiries should be sent to rebates@slickdeals.net.

Each deal would have it spelled out in the OP/and or wiki of the thread. I cannot say right here as it may be a touch different for different deals from different merchants.
