PSA:

After 9/1/16, all new signups have been throttled. You can change this back to full speed.

Quote :
What are these speed settings best for?

Full Speed > Great for sharing and downloading large files, streaming 1080p HD videos, watching movies, playing games.
Optimized > Great for watching some of your favorite videos, listening to music, searching the web, getting from point A to point B with your favorite navigation app.
Super Saver > Great for searching your email, and visiting your favorite social media sites.

How often can I change my data speed?

There is no limitation on the number of times Ultra subscribers can change their Data My Way setting!
What impact will Data My Way have to existing customers?

The data speed for all Ultra subscribers who activated their plans prior to 9/1/16 will be Full Speed, the same speed they're getting today. All Ultra subscribers who activated their plans after 9/1/16 will be set to Optimized, which is enough to comfortably stream videos and browse the web. Ultra subscribers can change their Data My Way setting whenever they'd like, as many times as they'd like. They are able to change their settings in the following ways:

Ultra cuts off your data once your limit is used (no throttling), but you can purchase more data for the rest of the month immediately via text message. Service works with locked T-Mobile phones, but you'll need to change APN settings (instructions on their website).

It is. They are awesome though. I was using the $19 plan for work number and to call international, after a year of service they offered me $99 for one year of service there after. Cant be beat!

does anyone know If the 19 or 29 dollar plans 3g is unlimited . I'm in Africa with my unit using tmobile and one of the best features is the fact that I have unlimited 3g data at no extra cost. (4g isn't available here)

Wow, this is a great deal! I got my wife the ROK Mobile $33/mo plan when paying annually a few months ago. That was a little better as it gives you 5GB of 4GLTE. But this deal is great because you don't have to pay for a year up front to get it!

do you know what is the over usage fee for data? 100mb seems to be a bit low, even on occasional uses.

I was actually researching the included data allotments from Ultra mobile about a month ago, and according to Howard forums, on the $19 and $29 plans, once you reach your 4G lte limit, the data just shuts off. There is no lower speed of data on the $19 and $29 plans.

On the $34 plan, once you've used your 2GB of 4G LTE data, the remainder of your month is unlimited at 2G speeds of 128kbps.

Good luck

Its about a penny a meg, which is not bad.
However, you have to purchase it before you use over your limit, as your data will just shut off when you use your limits on the $19 and $29 plans.

Linkage to Ultra's ultraup option http://ultra.me/ultraup

You can still tack on $5 for 500MB more OR move to $34 plan.

Looks like they charge "sales and use tax" and a "regulatory recovery fee" on every recharge. Am wondering if the use tax is anything separate from the sales tax?
Right now, I am on the T-Mobile $30 plan (no sales tax) and I am interested in the $29 plan but wanted to consider all costs before switching.

The entire fee is $0.75 for my mother on the $19.99 plan

$19, rather. $1 fee. Ends up being $20 even.

Had them since nov. Not a bad company at all. Located in the Philipines. Good staff, fast response. Very curtious, good english....better then mine.
I'm on the $19/ month auto renewal. Occasionally, I add .5 gigs for $5 when I need it. Very easy to do btw.
If you need more data for your $, I would assume Harbor Mobile may be a better deal.
