Hi guys not sure if this is a repost but looks like Newegg has the Galaxy Tab 8.4" on sale for a good price, not sure for how long. This is Wi-Fi only version. You have to add this item to cart to see the price.

Btw if you have access to Chase Ultimate Rewards, they have an additional 1% cash back @ Newegg (better than nothing I guess!)

YES! Ive been regretting not buying the last deal for 279. Thanks OP! Was literally just going to buy a refurb one for the same price, but decided to check slickdeals one last time.

I thought best buy makes up the difference in tax?

No idea, I asked her about the tax, but she (the customer rep) said she could only match the price for 259. I just bought one from newegg as well, might gift it to my dad or someone. Big Grin

I've seen my question asked before, but is this tab worth the extra $60 compared to the pro 8.4? I've been going back and forth between the S, Pro, and Lenovo Tab 2 10". It will mainly be used for the kids watching videos, and me for internet.

Definately.... the Pro is very clunky to hold, especially for kids... The S is much thinner and lighter - doesn't feel much bulkier than my Nexus 7 2nd Gen... Spend the extra and get the S...

Strictly for videos and browsing the internet you may not see any advantage over Tab Pro. However, these are quite powerful and will be capable for several years - Android 5.1 and beyond - Tab Pro might not. Also if you want to do something like photo editing or light gaming later - these will beat Tab Pro any day. I just wished they had a Tab S Note model - the stylus in my wife's Note 4 is very useful.
