It's regularly about $429.99 at Walmart but one key thing to note is this is the B1 not the B1E that is exclusive to Wally world...the B1 is native 240hz and the B1E is actually 120hz. It's not worth $120 extra in my eyes (currently using a B1E for gaming and man cave TV and I like it a lot), but worth noting.

If I was looking for a dependable sharp spec'd TV, I'd jump on this. Buydig being the seller would just seal the deal. Great product from a great retailer.

I was debating the same thing. I have the b1e that I got for 386 and I added the 4 year warranty.

Was debating going plasma because of the refresh rate but this model will include a faster refresh rate plus keep it 4k.

I will use this TV primarily for gaming and sports.

Do most laptops and desktops output 4k?

With all the HDTV deals all the time, buying a refurb is crazy. They are rarely actually refurbished - they are typically customer returns placed in new packaging. Sometimes, the customer returned for something other than quality issues, or for minor quality issues (dead pixel, light bleed) , but sometimes serious quality issues - you never know, and then you got a major hassle on your hand having to re-box and return. Just hold out for a good deal on a new TV....

with all the bull crap refresh rates put out lately i heard that a better native refresh rate is actually pretty important specifically for 4k hdtv's. any truth to that?

tomshardware has a good take on it, I think it's all about the processing engine and if this thing had any more power it would need a fan for the six core CPU/GPU. One of the lowest gaming lags out there. I've revisited a lot of older 360 games now that I can see better.

The P-Series is well appointed in terms of connections. It has built-in Wi-Fi (802.11 ac) and plenty of ports. There are five HDMI ports, three of which support HDCP 2.2 (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) for copy-protected 4K feeds, but only one supports the higher frame rate of 60 Hz (or fps). The other two are limited to 30 Hz/fps for 4K.
