Current BOOST mobile customers ADD 2GB of data for FREE per month FOR LIFE!!!

If you have had the same Boost Mobile plan for 3 months (or more), you are eligible for this free upgrade of 2GB per month for life.

I just did it - you just text "Boost2GB" to 8005 from your Boost phone.

It looks like it will "kick in" the next time you pay your bill on time!

I did it, it was quick and easy. I now have 4.5GB for $40 a month.

They are also offering many other deals for current customers:
http://www.boostmobile.com/upgrade/

as well as new customers:
http://www.boostmobile.com/in-store-offers/

(I hope this helps some folks!)
(Mods - sorry if this post needs help)

Virgin Mobile just kicked up my data to 8gb but im at the $55 plan with taxes close to $65. It would be nice if boost mobile honored the new customer switch from VM, but they said they cant honor VM customers due to same sprint network. but if they do im saying peace to vm

If you are willing to lose your phone number, you could just start as a new customer. See the wiki for details.

I use Boost and have never had any service issues, even in rural locations on a cheap phone (Sharp Aquos Crystal). I've had horrible experiences with Sprint service in the past, but it seems like it has improved tremendously. The plans and pricing are decent too.

If you are a NEW customer, you will not see the 2GB bc you will not be eligible bc it is for EXISTING customers.
If you are existing, you will see the extra 2GB after you pay the NEXT bill.

Had boost for 7 years up until 2 weeks ago, went to try Google Fi. There cellphone service for me in the Bay Area wasn't bad the 4G was pretty awful though. I'd get super fast speeds in the weirdest location like a Carls Jr drive through in Santa Clara, but when I get closer to a home San Jose there was no 4g for miles away.
Is the T-Mobile half of Google Fi really that much better for you?

I think a lot of issues with the "New Sprint" is that people are using old phones with only one LTE band, while there is actually Tri-Band service available for your benefit. The single biggest factor in purchasing a phone should be, "Will I be able to access all the band's available to me?"

The trick with Google Fi is that it only works with the Nexus 6, which works with virtually EVERY band available, however I don't think it can do Carrier Aggregation on Sprint if I remember correctly.

Try the Nexus 6 on Sprint/Boost and then you can at least say: "all other things being equal...".

For me I virtually get 4G everywhere I go and the speeds are actually fast. When I had boost even when it said 4G watching a YouTube video required buffering. As for calling Cellphone signal its normal. I don't get static or dropped calls. I will say though if you use google hangout its a problem. According to a CSR they are working on fixing the problem but if you have Google Hangouts open on your PC it will ring before the phone rings, usually 2-3 times before. Thats the only issue for me but the easy solution is to sign out of GH and use a third party messenger for now.

I think it is. And good riddance too. The truth is they have a restrictive phone policy and byod. Plans are killing them.

The $30 plan uses Auto-reBoost. Does anyone use this? Can you chime in on it and let us know if the Auto-Reboost is really $30 or if it includes taxes and fees? If so, how much?
I have the auto-reboost (got it in April, hoping to get the 2GB added for free, but will find out when I pay later this month if it kicks in). There are taxes added to the $30, but it's not much. I pay a total of $32.85 per month for 2GB, and hopefully that will increase to 4GB. Not that I use the 2GB I have, but more high-speed data is always good!

I'm considering the $30 plan (in my case I would lose .5GB of data (but I never use even 2GB).

We have it, and it's $32.10 with taxes for us in NJ.
