A good price on a top-of-the-line shoe. The benefits of heal lift on squatting movements cannot be overstated - allows for more upright posture and thus safer/more comfortable/ heavier lifting. As a caution, like all adidas shoes, these are pretty narrow. People with wider feet will be better off with the nike romaleo or the pendley do-win shoes.

TU! I wonder if these are being discontinued, I no longer see them on the Adidas website. I just ordered the Powerlift 2.0 ( 4.6* out of 5 with 288 reviews on Amazon) yesterday directly from Adidas for $72 using the 20% off coupon that no longer appears active. There is currently a 15% coupon bringing it to $76.50 with free shipping. Not trying to threadjack, but I have been looking for lifting shoes for a while and both of these appear to be great deals.

Excellent shoes, you get what you pay for. I agree with others about the width. Go with Nike if you have a wider foot.

This is such a great deal. I can't wait to spend $125 on something that will replace the athletic shoes that haven't worked for my lifting for the last 15 years.

WOW, can't believe it took you 15 years to save $125 dollars to buy a new pair of athletic shoes! Congratulations!

You might want to start looking for a new job though, inflation is a bitch.

On a more non-troll, contribution note .... great shoes, so are the Nike Romaleos. Most people won't notice that big of a difference at the start, but when you go heavier in your lifts, it is a nice piece of equipment to have. Clearly the recreational lifter could consider this a luxury item.

Great for squat and bench. Some like to deadlift in these, but I personally will use my chucks on my heavier lifts. These are raised, so it's like lifting off of a defecit platform which is harder for most.

I know this is sarcasm, but if you haven't ever lifted in lifting shoes, wrestling shoes or even chuck taylors, you haven't been lifting enough. If you are wearing cushioned athletic shoes, you are not providing the stability necessary to allow your body to progress to higher weights all while being safer in the process. I know in my experience, anytime I squatted in athletic shoes I got a pain on the inside of my knee. As soon as I switch back to my adipowers, it's instantly gone. Well worth it to me.
