Costco is offering $200 off on their 14" Serafina Pearl Gel Queen size Memory Foam Mattress.

Original Price $799.99 - $200.00 = $599.99

This mattress has very good reviews and I've done my research because I was in the market for a new mattress. Novaform is also very highly rated on mattress comparison websites. I believe they are a Costco brand of mattress.

Did a search and did not find this particular model on sale in the past year. Shipping is free and coupled with Costco's great customer service and generous return policy i think this is a low risk buy at a good price.

I will post my thoughts on quality of the mattress and quality of sleep (subjective) when the mattress comes in tomorrow.

I got mine back in November for $650, and I'm satisfied with it.

It is on the firm side, which I prefer. Some of the reviews on Costco's previous listings complain about it, since it's advertised as medium firmness and it's definitely firmer than that.

It was almost too firm after I unboxed it, but it softened up a bit or I got used to it. I'd rather a mattress start out too firm, rather than wear out quickly.

My old mattress was completely worn out, so almost anything would have been an improvement. I've slept well since I've had this one.

if you find it too firm then a great option would be to also get the 3 inch mattress pad and it'll be very nice. I have 3 14" novaform matters and bought one for my mom. She also has the 3 inch pad from Costco for her mattress and loves it. you can always go softer but can't go firmer so the firmness of this mattress is just right it seems.

That's a very good suggestion. I will have to try the mattress for a few days, and if it's too firm I'll definitely take this same route.

We got this a couple years ago at this price from Costco.
Still very happy with it. We like a firm bed but not too firm.

We were looking for one locally and was about to spend $1200 for one we liked. The quality for ones under $1000 were really suspect at least at the shops we went to. Thankfully we decided to keep looking and saw this advertised at Costco.

Was hesitant to purchase sight, feel and try unseen but based on the good reviews, this being a gel foam firm mattress, seemed to be what we wanted. Ordered it and didn't tell my wife how much it cost. Btw, it's amazing how small the box it gets delivered in from UPS. She thought it was better than the one we wanted to buy so must have cost at least what we were planning to spend.

We got this last week and it's not the same Serafina mattress that we got last year. The "Pearl" version is not as firm as the old one. Very disappointed.

Some of these type of mattresses get too warm from your own body heat and make you sweat.

Bought the King sized version for $750 after $200 off. Do I need a frame of a box spring?

no box spring needed, if you already have it that is fine.. but if you have just slats, then some form of ply-wood or masonry board could work.

You buy a new mattress every year?

We put the queen (2014) version in the guest bedroom and bought a King last week. The new Pearl version is definitely not the same as the old one. Still undecided if I want to return it.

From what I read you dont need a box spring. I am getting the cal king and looked into some frames. This was probably the best one I found: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/...PDKIKX0DER

Would you still call it firm? Anything else wrong with it besides not being as firm as last year?

I bought the smart whatever from Target when they had the deal for $179 and I truly love them. I think I will wait for target deal to get another one.
