Thread Details

I see couple of deals on PNC virtual wallet checking bonus for up to $300. I found online one with $400 bonus offer for similar requirements of $300.

I did searched if it is duplicate post for $400 bonus but didn't found any... if it is duplicate please kindly ignore.

note: only U.S. citizen can open PNC checking account through online.

So, really not a big deal. Just open a savings first, and do not forget a CC funding. (Earn $40 on 2k opening deposit with 2% cash back card).
IT LOOKS LIKE THE DEAL TERMS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE SPECIFIC TERMS AS THEY ARE CURRENTLY POSTED ON THE OFFER PAGE. LOOKS LIKE THIS MIGHT NOT BE OPEN TO EVERYONE ANYMORE.

Detais:
This bonus offer is valid for new accounts opened through this web page only.
* New Performance, Performance Select Checking, Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend or Virtual Wallet with Performance Select must be opened between 6/2/2015 and 12/31/2015.
To qualify for a reward ($200 reward for Performance Checking or Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend; $400 reward for Performance Select Checking or Virtual Wallet with Performance Select), a qualifying Direct Deposit must be received and at least 1 payment must be completed via PNC Online Bill Pay within 60 days of account opening of the checking account. For Virtual Wallet accounts, payment must be made from the Spend account. Your checking account must remain open in order for you to receive the cash reward, which will be credited to the eligible account within 60 - 90 days after both conditions have been met and will be identified as "Cash Trans Promo Reward" on your monthly statement. A qualifying Direct Deposit is defined as a recurring Direct Deposit of a paycheck, pension, Social Security or other regular monthly income electronically deposited into a Performance or Performance Select Checking account, or the Spend account of a Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend or Virtual Wallet with Performance Select. The total amount of all qualifying Direct Deposits credited to your checking account must be at least $2000 for Performance Checking or Virtual Wallet with Performance Spend; $5000 for Performance Select Checking or Virtual Wallet with Performance Select. The Direct Deposit must be made by an employer or outside agency. Transfers from one account to another, or deposits made at a branch or ATM, do not qualify as Direct Deposits. New checking account will not be eligible for the offer if any signer has signing authority on an existing PNC Bank consumer checking account or has closed an account within the past 90 days, or has been paid a promotional premium in the past 12 months. Limit one premium per new account. If multiple accounts are opened with the same signers, only one account will be eligible for the premium. For this offer, signing authority will be defined by the customer(s) name and social security number(s) registered on the account. In the event that we determine in our sole discretion that your account does not meet the eligibility criteria or the activity on your account does not qualify as a Qualifying Direct Deposit, we will not be obligated to credit your account with the payout. Offer subject to change at any time.

I think I read somewhere that after receiving the bonus say with highest VW with performance select, we can downgrade the account to lowest level and minimum balance criteria will reduce for next some months till 6 montha to close or to continue.... Downhrade is simply from account preference...
Use only ATM, online banking, mobile banking or other self-serve electronic methods to make withdrawals and deposits instead of visiting a branch teller. Monthly Service Charges may apply if a deposit or withdrawal transaction that can be conducted via a self-serve method is completed at a PNC Bank branch within the statement period and none of the other requirements to avoid the monthly service charges are met. For mobile banking, standard data rates may apply.

Dang, wish I would have waited for the $400 offer come around. Currently working on the $300 offer. Used paypal deposits into PNC as I heard this will count as direct deposit. Waiting for my statement to close in just under a month to seee if the $300 posts.
