Convection model for $600.30 or $540 with movers coupon (YMMV):

***** This is a different unit than the OP*****

You can get the 5600SS for $600.30 from Home Depot. Price shown after added to the cart. If you price match through Lowes or Best Buy and use the movers coupon then it's is at $540 + tax.

difference between 5500SS and 5600SS unit are:

5500SS vs 5600SS

LEFT FRONT BURNERS (SIZE AND POWER)
12,000 BTU / 15,000 BTU
LEFT REAR BURNERS (SIZE AND POWER)
9,500 BTU / 9,500 BTU
RIGHT FRONT BURNER (SIZE AND POWER)
17,000 BTU / 17,000
RIGHT REAR BURNER (SIZE AND POWER)
5,000 BTU / 5,000 BTU
CENTER REAR BURNER (SIZE AND POWER)
9,500 BTU / 9,500 BTU

5500SS has no convection
5600SS has convection feature

Better Cooking Through Convection Hot air circulating through your oven cooks food more evenly, at lower temperatures, and often with better and faster results

$599 at Lowe's as well, CR rates this a 71, with the highest in the category being 79.

Extremely tempting, we've been thinking about switching to gas for a while now from our contractor's special glasstop electric.

this is about the average price online. The $1000 is the msrp which nobody pays. Still looks like a nice stove but not a slick deal. Now start adding some coupons on this and we might be talking

I wonder if Samsung is going to discontinue this range and that's why it's on sale at multiple retailers?

I really think this is a buy for $599 (or less with mover's discount / promo code / veteran discount, etc.)

Great overall reviews; buyers seem to be really happy with this range.

Sears Outlet is selling refurbished units for $569 - $617 EEK!.

I've had this range for almost a year. it's great. I highly recommend it. I thought I got a great deal last year on it for slightly more than this.

Gas beats electric all day long. Wish this was available about 2 weeks ago when I bought a Kenmore from Sears!

I've had this stove for a year now. I actually got it at around the same price by buying other appliances with it.

Has great reception and 4 HDMI ports.

But that doesn't beat out trying to keep that black cooktop clean. It shows everything.
