I have been using PIA, but my year is almost up. So I'm considering this deal thru proXPN. Lifetime service for $40 sounds like a pretty good deal.

My only concern is the logging seems alittle sketchy and for some people, that is the most important detail.

Update: possibly $36 if you are a first time customer at bitsdujour. Thanks eibgrad for the tip!

Don't forget the 10% off coupon for first time buyers on that website ($36 sounds even better Smilie ).

I'll say this much. Given these guys are advertising on TWIT all the time, I'd expect them to hang around awhile, unlike many other more sketchy VPN providers.

Should we assume ProXPN will allow you to set this up on your router and not just the desktop or mobile device?

Thanks for the info, I can add it to the OP. Is it automatic, or do we need a code?

As for the router, I think it should be able to since it runs on openvpn. Not sure though, so if anyone has used proxpn before, let us know.

When you visit the site, it generates a popup that asks for your email address, and they send it to you. Didn't seem to generate the popup all the time though, so may need to try a few times. You may need to turn off your popup blocker too.

This deal is also available through androidcommunity.com. Anyone use ProXPN? My concern is relatively few exit points (only four countries).

There's a bunch of these sites, all look the same, all generate/take the same promo codes. I assume they're all the same company.

Looks like you can set it up on the router.

Just need to dig out the server names/ips, know your username/password, and have some familiarity w/ OpenVPN setup.

Also on stacksocial [stacksocial.com] for the same price.

Either proXPN is having financial problems, or they are going to come up with a different plan with additional features that their premium plan will not have.

I used proXPN for a couple of years and found their speeds to be slow compared to PIA [privateinternetaccess.com].

I just placed an order and at the bottom of my purchase summary it said this is a 2 year subscription?!?!

I reached out to bitsdujour for clarification, let's see how they respond. My total was $35.10, which I guess isn't bad for two years if it's reliable.

Please report back on what they say.

Is there any information on how many computers can be logged in at the same time using one account? PIA and Torguard allow 5 connections at the same time.

Call me crazy but something that's so cheap for a LIFETIME sub doesn't sound good - I mean, a VPN service takes $$ to keep running - let's say 10,000 people sign up this year for $40. What about next year? Subscriptions can't continue like that forever. Ultimately makes me wonder about the quality of the service.
