Help with analog headphone adapter for Alienware Alpha

rapa88 16 10 September 20, 2015 at 03:53 PM More Amazon Deals
I purchased the Alienware Alpha deal from a few weeks ago but am having trouble with finding an acceptable adapter to plug in my analog headphones. The Alienware Alpha comes with a PDIF socket, but the headphones I have are analog 3.5mm plugs (Sennheiser PX 100) that I'm pretty happy with continuing to use. I purchased a USB to 3.5mm adapter but I'm not quite happy with the sound quality. Not quite sure how to describe the sound, but the sound quality with the USB adapter sounds boosted in volume and not quite as clear as when I directly plugged in my headphones into my older Dell PC's headphone socket. Can anyone recommend a product/ solution to hook up a 3.5mm analog headphone to my Alienware Alpha?

If you have a monitor or TV with built in speakers hooked up via hdmi, the monitor or tv may have a headphone jack.
