How do I know my ride needs another alignment, when it pulls to one side and tire wear is not uniform, or are there are other signs before those things occur that warrant a re-alignment?
when your car starts to pull to side, or the steering wheel is off center while you going straight, that's the obvious sign when your alignment needs to be checked.
most shops checks it for maybe a small fee; i know many would check for free, only charge when performing the alignment.
$160 is about $20 off the usual price, i had mine in back in 2011 and now i can just haul in and say, hey, check the alignment, whenever i feel suspicious
One of the best service values for the money. I have bought this for two vehicles, and it pays for itself by the second alignment. Not transferable to other vehicles or if you sell your vehicle to someone else. If you sell your vehicle to someone you know and you want to spend the time to help them out, they will still do the alignment if you take it in with out telling them. I have even called ahead and had other people take my truck in for me and pick it up afterwards, so in some cases (YMMV) you may be able to just call and say they are dropping off your car for you because you don't have the time.

If you want to, and have the time you can get it aligned every six months if you want with no shop fees at all. I usuall call ahead and drop it off instead of waiting. its good at any corporate owned Firestone in the country, so you can get an alignment if your out of town as long as there is a location near by.

Beware of shady Firestone locations. When you go in for your lifetime alignment, they tell you BS to make you do other services. I service my own car. I put in a new air filter and a few weeks later I go in to get a alignment done. I was told that the air filter was checked and very dirty and needed changing. Another time, I was told I needed new spark plugs and wires. Spark plugs were new and the car used power packs that did not need changing. So beware!

that does sound shady. makes you want to take a hidden camera in and/or get the local media involved. O.O

I don't know where you go. Everywhere I have lived (Bay Area, L.A., New England, San Diego), I can get alignments for $50 cash. But, this is a great deal.
Perfect time OP. today I had to replace my tires at costco. even though i drove only 25K my tires were worn out on the sides/end. Costco recommended to replace it owing to saftey issue. Also they recommend to perform wheel alignment every 6months to avoid this damage.
They offered me this price last year when I went in. I turned them down and when I came back to pick up the truck they offered it me for 130, so I bit. As much as the whole experience seemed shady, I had just bought the truck and planned to do more suspension work.
Everyone. This deal is lame compared to the offer they used to provide using the entertainment coupon it used to be 50% off the lifetime price which was 189.99 so basically it was under a h.undred bucks for a lifetime
