Had my eye on this super quiet, good quality compressor, but was waiting until the price went down.

Wasn't expecting it to go down this far!

Lowest price ever recorded on CamelCamelCamel

Usually the price is around $200 and up.

Check out a YouTube video on how loud (actually how silent) this compressor is.

This is an awesome air compressor. It's incredibly quiet. I got one a couple years ago as a gift after having it on my wishlist for a long time! Smilie

Anything you can do with an 8gal that you can't do with this one? Was holding off for an 8gal deal but might bite

Depends on what you intend to use it for.

This models ratings are:

3.80 CFM @ 40 PSI
2.35 CFM @ 90 PSI

If you want to use it for airbrushing, power tools...etc, just look at the CFM/PSI ratings
of the devices and see if they are within this compressors output specs.

can this be used to install fencing and for pool closings?
For pools you need a compressor that can put out a large volume of air continuously.

I ended up buying it. I would like something to inflate tires and run a brad nailer and being extra quiet is a bonus.

had this one for a few years now and couldnt be happier. much, much quieter than my previous campbell pancake or ridgid hot dog compressors. db increases are not linear, a few db make a huge difference. This will run just about any nailer, but with a large framing nailer you may have to shoot a few then wait for it to fill.

I don't think it is as quiet as that video makes it appear. Another video has the same compressor on the 1.6 gal tank instead of the 6.3 gal. It does not sound as quiet.
Full disclosure, I made the video comparing these compressors. The little one is there to show the meter indicates what the little compressor specifications say it should.
I wanted to use the compressor indoors for airbrushing, but found it was not as quiet as advertised.
The area of interest starts about 2:10 in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etEDheg2P0k

You people have good experiences using this to put air in car tires? That's all I really want it for. Thx Smilie

Nm just answered my own question reading the reviews. Hmmm to buy or not to buy is the question now.

Why isn't the 8 gallon husky for $129 that puts out 4cfm at 90psi a better deal? This doesn't seem that great.
