How do I stop daily the deal alerts?

7,804 1,938 November 24, 2015 at 12:25 PM
I don't know what you call them. They aren't the alerts I set but Slickdeals sends me daily alerts of my alerts. I'd really like to stop these.

I looked all over in the alert page and see nothing there to uncheck.

Thanks.

Hi,
You can manage all of your email setting here

I'm not exactly clear on what emails you are getting. Is it the newsletter?

Thanks. I'm not sure what to call them. They are Slickdeal alerts that contain a summary of deals I set on my alerts. I don't need a summary. I only want to be alerted when a deal comes around that I set an alert for.

I used to get these when I entered the contest, but I stopped entering the contest so not sure why I get these now but my email is filled with them and it's getting annoying.

If they are deal alerts they have to show up in your DA page Scratchhead

Maybe go through and check your settings to see if you have the daily selected on your alerts.

Green would mean selected, as you see mine are set for Instant.

Well mine are all set to instant also. I've attached a pic of what I'm talking about. I have an alert for 'AVG' and one for 'gift card' and I get his email alert from Slickdeals which I don't need.

Sorry, then a dev will need to look into this for you when they have some time, likely after BF.

What you posted is a normal deal alert. They just combine them sometimes depending on when the deals are posted. So you got one email for at least three deal alerts, one for AVG, one for gift card and one for something else since they were posted one minute apart. If you have "notification" selected as a Notification Method you will see them individually but for email they sometimes combine them.

I have been getting them all day because someone is posting every single Target Black Friday deal. Annoying to say the least.

I hear ya. My mailbox is full of them especially this time of the year. I can't keep up with all of them. I wish I could just get the single alerts with the link to go to the deal and not the combination alerts but if that normal than I'll put up with it in hopes it slows down a lot after Christmas.

Thanks Schooby for your help. I appreciate it!!

Hi,
The QA team has been adding deals to our interactive ads scans therefore creating a lot of threads. Unfortunately it is necessary to make the interactive scans work properly. I would suggest removing BF forum from your deal alerts or choosing a less generic deal alert in the meantime. Sorry for the inconvenience.
You can view the full ad scans Here.
