Starting November 26th, Sprint customers that port a number to any T-Mobile Simple Choice postpaid plan will receive a $200 port-in credit on us ($200 per line) via a one-time $200 bill credit within your first three full bill cycles.

No strings. No hassle. And, no trade-in required. But only for a limited time.

How does this offer work?

Starting November 26th, Sprint customers that port a number to any T-Mobile Simple Choice postpaid plan, including @Work business plans (up to 20 lines at retail, other channels excluded), receive a $200 port-in credit on us. No strings. No hassle. And, no trade-in required. Offer available in most markets. Offer not available in Atlanta market.

What plans qualify?

The credit is available on all Simple Choice postpaid voice plans (starting at 2 GB) including @Work business plans (up to 20 lines at retail, other channels excluded).

When will I get my $200 credit?

You will receive the $200 as a statement credit on your first full month billing cycle (within 90 days of activation) as long as you are an active customer in good standing.

Is the port-in credit for every line or just per account?

Each line you port to T-Mobile will get a $200 credit. The more you port the more you get; there is no limit.

Does the offer apply to Sprint Prepaid, Boost or Virgin Mobile customers?

Yes. If you would like to port a prepaid number and you are eligible for a qualifying Simple Choice plan you would receive the $200 port-in credit.

Will T-Mobile pay off a Sprint customer's lease, EIP or service contract?

Yes, on top of the $200 port-in credit we offer up to $650 or more per line (via trade-in credit and Visa Prepaid Card) to cover ETFs or a remaining device balance with Carrier Freedom.

Why is the port-in credit only for Sprint customers?

This is only the beginning! As part of Un-carrier Unwrapped, we've got special gifts coming throughout the holidays. Earlier this week our existing customers received three months of free unlimited LTE data. Starting November 26th Sprint customers get a $200 port-in credit. Look out for more gifts in the coming weeks for AT&T and Verizon customers.

T Mobile is mopping the floor and ceiling with there offers.

I am not a fan of T Mobile coverage but damn, do I have much respect for being the un-carrier.

Exactly. I wish the other carriers would also stand-up with better offers.

tethering on TM is a pain?

I tether fine on my Tmobile plan.... limited bucket users (eg 10GB highspeed, 2G after) get their full (eg 10GB) bucket for tethering, unlimited users get a certain amount as well (grandfathered ones get 3-7GB depending on their price plans, current unlimited get 14GB)

T-Mobile coverage is WORSE than Sprint coverage, yet they feel like they are throwing Sprint customers a bone. Such a shame so many people fall for the trap that is known as T-Mobile.

I'm actually seriously considering switching from my ATT family plan to this if they offer something similar for ATT customers. Only hesitation is that two of my 5 lines have unlimited internet. I just got service from Tmobile to use on my international travels and I can't say how great it is to keep your own number while traveling and get free internet and sms. And their customer service is excellent.

Sprint is offering 50% off of all TMO, AT&T, and Verizon rate plans! WAY better deal and can be combined with ETF/Install payoffs and FREE Amazon Prime for a year with Samsung purchase. Their deals SMOKE everyone else!!! Plus their network is WAY better all over the place since they replaced the entire network!

You might want to read the fine print on that deal. It only applies through 2018, and does not apply to unlimited users.

Depends on your plan. Newer Tmo plans allow you to tether your entire data bucket.

This is very YMMV. As with ANY carrier, you should check to see how coverage is in your area and more specifically on the routes you travel. I waited for Sprint to "upgrade" the network for years in Central Florida until I switched to Tmo. My data speeds 3 years ago did nothing but get better since I was getting <200k download (barely able to stream audio) and went to Tmo and got solid >4mb service with bursts to 10mb at my old job. Now coverage is never under 30mb anywhere I go. I was on the "fabled" Sprint SERO plan and was tired of service fees that crept up over time. "Android Data fees"? Blah.

---

Overall Tmo announcing new features ("un-carrier") has been great, except for the "BingeOn" deal. Other deals have been transparent and not loaded with extra gotchas. With BingeOn, yes you can stream as much Netflix, Slingbox, etc which is nice, but at 480p - lame. But the hidden gotcha is the data rollover deal. By limiting your data rollover to only 20gb total I really feel like people are losing out. I have the 4x 10GB plan and most of my lines never use more than 4GB. However, I was paying $100/mo before for 2GB, so I felt like an extra $20/mo for all my lines was worth it. For my cells I'm opting out of BingeOn since I rarely hit my cap and would rather have a big bucket of rollover for the times I'm out travelling and never have wifi vs unlimited streaming @ 480p.
