Was looking at recent antenna deals and came across this by chance. Beats the recent post with a 40 mile range.

http://www.amazon.com/1byone-OUS0...na+50+mile

Over 2400 reviews.

the coupon seems like it only works with the 50 mile white/black model.

Coupon code is JPKVJ85T as mentioned in the middle of the page under "special offers and product promotions"

This is a good resource mentioned in another thread to gauge how far away you are from the towers: http://www.antennaweb.org/Address.aspx

good web site to check your local area for broadcast TV. Under the Maximize your television reception section, click on the "click here to start button", enter your zip code and you can see a map and listing of all of the broadcast tv channels in your area and how far you are away from the transmitters.

I have this antenna and it works great and it all depends on how far you are from the antennas for broadcasting. I paid $25 through Newegg. At this price it's a good buy and will not regret it.Thumbup

Bought a similar one at costco. Did not work for me. Be advised this is very directional and indoors its really hard to mount it at the correct angle for best reception. Unless you are very close to a very strong signal it wont work well. I suppose if you were high up in the city close to the towers it may work better.

I have. 30 mile one that gets me a lot of channels and I very happy with it. some of the channels come in and out every so often, I'm wondering if the 50 mile one will solve that problem.

I recommend an outdoor one mounted 10-20ft off the ground if possible. Much better reception and can easily pick up signals 30-50 miles out or more. Lots of factors to account for though.

These indoor ones are pretty mediocre by comparison. As mentioned like most antennas they are highly directional so mounting to a wall is probably not going to result in an ideal position. You likely won't be able to mount it behind the tv but instead will need to fabricate a stand for it and it can be an eye sore sitting in your living room.

I read this somewhere else and tried it and it really works... get a coaxial cable cut one end off and strip insulation back 10-12 inches so copper is exposed works as a great antenna. for better reception put it in the attic...
