so I went to best buy to get these:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/phili...Id=4373913

and online it shows a price of $89.99, when the cashier rang it up, it shows an instant $20.00 sale discount meaning the total will be $69.99. this is the cheapest ive seen these light strips go and its the revised version of Philips hue lightstrip. just be aware that you will need a Philips hue hub to control your light strip wirelessly.

Has anyone else tried this in store? I'm probably going to stop by tomorrow and try it out.

May I ask, where do you use them? Thought they would make a cool backlight for a TV but might be excessive.

TIA

I bought 2 sets and BELIVE ME when I say these are BRIGHT and very vibrant! Huge difference between the first gen & second gen.. A bb employee pm the online price of the first gens at the clearance price for the second gens.. Just pulled up the bb app n showed her the price (of the 1st gens) winning!!

I think it's a very different market...I would get the $10 roll. But someone buying this has other Philips Hue products and likes the ease of their ecosystem

It can be used for a vehicle, but typically used with a 12v power supply. You v can find the led strip, power supply, and a remote control for under $20 on eBay. But they are not controlled wirelessly like the Hue lights. Very cool lights to play with though with lots of good uses for mood and ambient lighting.
