December 17th
Save on the OBi200 - $29.99 from Newegg.

Works great paired with officially supported Google Voice for free phone service. The Obi200 has reached this price a few times in the last year (like on Black Friday/Cyber Monday) but hasn't been cheaper than this.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Buy it if you are thinking about it. Paired with Google Voice you will save money until Google starts charging for their service. They may never charge....

I basically want to use google voice for inbound and outbound calls within the US. this device will allow me to do this as long as the internet signal through ethernet is active, right? also, are there any options to use my LG tone bluetooth headset with the obi200? I don't want to buy a separate phone system for it. thanks!

Yes for ethernet. There's even a wifi addon they sell to make it wireless.
Not by itself for the bluetooth. Possibly with a phone handset that supports your bluetooth set. If you need a cheap cordless phone try thrift stores or yard sales. People practically give away perfectly good units since dropping their landline for cell only.

One quick note about this adapter if you plan on using the Ring.To service with it - sometime early next year (like February), Ring.To and Obihai are going to be parting ways as Ring.To transitions into a paid service.

Just something to keep in mind. If you're only using your straight GV number with the Obihai, there shouldn't be any issues.

I have this from a previous deal, but never used it. I'very used Ooma for years (not premier), but have recently started getting quite a few robocalls.
So, can you block calls/numbers with obihai/gv?
Also, can obihai be used in conjunction with Ooma?

Yes, log into the GV account the number is associated with on your computer, then click on "History" on the left menu. For each call you want to block, use the "MORE" pull down menu and click "Block Caller". From that point on when that number calls, they'll get the 3 Special Information Tones along with the message "We're sorry, the number you are calling has been disconnected, or no longer in service. Should you have reached this recording in error, please check the number and try your call again."

To port my current landline, is the port to prepaid cell phone the transfer to Google voice still the only option?
