Look at the Nvidia Shield Tablet for $199 as well. That might be the best buy overall for this kind of price range. People seem to absolutely adore it and it gets guaranteed updates from Nvidia unlike the Asus tablet which will be abandoned quickly. Asus is not good at updating their Android products even on their high end stuff. The Shield tablet also has closer to stock Android software without the Asus UI changes.

Lots to love about the specs.. great form factor, screen res, and RAM. Any drawbacks to the Atom processor? Is there as much bloatware on this as the ZenFone 2?

I would get 64GB version if I need a pen input, otherwise 32GB version would be enough for everyday surfing and watching video. Tested both of them and 64GB is a bit faster then 32GB not a big difference. Screen seems okay for both. The main difference that I can say is the pen input and storage.

Also 64GB has :
4GB RAM (vs 2GB on lower model)
Better cameras
Wireless AC and 5GHz support (vs 2.4GHz on lower model)

fairly similar specs.
the Nvidia tablet has 16GB internal memory.
it does have a slightly faster processor.

I've been thinking about buying a couple of these to replace my Nexus 7 2013, and my wife's Asus Memo Pad HD7.

Biggest spec difference that wasn't noted above is that the 32gb model has a quad core 1.3Ghz processor, and the 64gb model has a quad core 2.3Ghz processor.

Also, the 32gb has 5M/2M cameras, and the 64gb has 8M/5M.

Also, the 32gb has 2.4Ghz wifi BGN, whereas the 64Gb has dual band 2.4Ghz/5.8Ghz wifi BGNAC.

(Sorry, didn't mean to duplicate some of the spec differences)

Seems like a good one for document viewing with that aspect ratio and resolution.
