Cheap way to mail rebate with Tracking number

900 35 January 1, 2016 at 03:23 PM
I am looking for a cheap way to mail rebate with Tracking number.
My rebate is 10$ and I think the cheapest mail with tracking number at USPS is certified mail, which cost about 4$.
The rebate window is very short, so by the time I will find out that the mail is lost, it would be too late.
How do you guys send rebates with tracking?

We don't. Sometimes people do for multi-hundred dollar rebates but no one with any sense would bother for a $10 rebate.

What processor is this going to anyway?

If you insist then the cheapest way to get tracking on letter sized mail is certified. You can also send it as a first class package for less but you need to beef it up so it meets the minimum size requirements for a package or else it can be upgraded to priority and then arrive postage due.

I just make photocopies of everything so if they don't get the rebate I resend with copies and write in big Capitol letters on front 2ND REQUEST, never an issue and I just pay regular postage not the $4 like you quoted, good luck

Does it help if rebate deadline have passed already by the time you send 2nd mail?

I still send it in and let them know when I mailed it the first time as I was within my time frame

Def save your money then. Just check back in a few weeks and make sure it's scanned into the system.

Also be sure to submit the correct documentation. Invoices will say "invoice" on them. Receipts are from B&M stores. Order confirmations and packing slips are not either of those things.
