text: all your base are belong to use plus some "urban slang" if you will. Which means the hacker was probably a suburban white script kiddie.

Either way it couldn't happen to a nicer site. The site's owner only seems to be concerned with getting his affiliate link money anymore. He lets the mods(which are usually volunteers from the user base) do as they please and some of them like that magic wand power of theirs a wee bit too much.

So I say good for them.

Nah.

But judging by the message the hacker put up it sounds like an old member on there who was banned(like me). The guy's name was FireThief. He's a pasty white dude that thinks he's a rapper.

Yeah. Sadly the site went from a community of gamers who would help each other out to a community of whiners who would complain about OT posting and report anyone who dared to stand against them. That's how I got banned actually. Some whiner who complained about OT posting pretty much got into a back and forth with me and rather than reporting them to the mods I responded back again. I came back to a BANNED screen soon after.

When I say the site went from a helpful community I mean that people would routinely pick up stuff for each other for cost + shipping WITHOUT thinking about how much those items were worth on the open market. I myself did that quite a bit. I traded straight up game guide for game guide, even if the ones I was trading were worth $50 or more by that point. I sold PS3 memory card adapters(the OFFICIAL ones) to other members for like $6-7 SHIPPED when I was getting them for $2 apiece from Kmart/Sears. I sold copies of Uncharted on PS3 that I got from Toys R Us for $6 on clearance for maybe $10 SHIPPED per copy.

Yet there were people who expected Craigslist type deals. I had people try cherry picking rare games from my PS2/Xbox lot I had up for a long time for a set price for everything for $5 apiece SHIPPED. I had the one user(Merchie99 or something was his name) offer me $15 SHIPPED for THREE games that were still selling for $25 used APIECE. I just ignored the lowballers after a while and only dealt with people who were long time members who were reasonable who I had dealt with already.

yeah I remember I never got that deep into that site but I do recall in the early Xbox 360 days when the 20GB removable HDD was $99.99 by mistake SEARS listed it for $9.99 yes nine bucks I had never discovered Slickdeals then but I cleaned up scored many many heaps at different Circuity City locations even Best Buy. Posted my pics and receipts
All I remember is people crying about calling the Police and I have never been banned so fast from a site. Its like they were egging me on for a response. Then I was like why bother going back.

Yeah. The white knight numb nuts on there are overbearing. They'll cry if you take more than one of a deal and/or if you dare charge anything but just cost + shipping for an item that they don't have in their area but still want.

The best though is the guy in my sig on here. He whined about me taking all the copies of a certain game for PS3 and kept doing so. By his logic I was supposed to wait till he got what he wanted from a clearance sale at 'his' Target store. If he didn't whine about me taking all the copies of the game I was going to return the extras to that store. But instead I think I took them up to NY state and returned them there cuz I was going way outta town for work driving to auto auction at the time just to be a prick to him.
