Goodwill donation tax receipts

tax season is here and im about do what i do, prepare for my income tax return. but before i do, i wanna know, how can i use the Goodwill tax receipt? i only made 2 donations to goodwill. i donated mostly electronic and video game items worth around........ $6.

That's it. There is a $250 min required for donations. (see pg 5 here [irs.gov])

Also for OP, if you drive up to donate they usually give you a blank slip of paper as "receipt" for the donation, so if you really want a receipt you could roll in now and get one.

I dont understand why this is a problem? Goodwill is a business that creates jobs. Perhaps you'd rather see them shut it down and cut jobs to all of the special needs employees they hire. Get off your uneducated soap box!

It's an itemized deduction. If you're taking the standard deduction, you can make a hat or a brooch or a pterodactyl.

I helped a friend deliver to one of those places once (I think Salvation Army?) when he was moving and they just gave him a signed blank form that he could fill in on his own.
