What is the difference between USB diskette on key/USB Hard Disk and USB CD/DVD ROM Drive?
Which one should be disabled?

Shouldn't disable any of them really.

USB Hard Disk is an external harddrive or flash drive. USB CD Drive is an external CD drive. It's just other ways of starting your computer if your internal harddrive fails, or you want to use a different operating system for that session (like Linux or Ubuntu).

I would make OS Boot Manager go to the top of that list.

If OS Boot Manager go to the top, it will boost from the hard drive first. Isn't it a bad thing if I need to boost from USB drive?

Do you ever boot from a USB drive? I find it causes more problems. Say you forget to take out your flash drive that you were just transferring documents. The computer may try to boot from it, giving you an error message similar to "No OS found." I find it easier to leave the Boot OS manager the priority, and switch it if you ever do need to boot from a thumb drive. Unless you are planning on booting from a thumb drive on a weekly basis.

Ya I usually use HD first then USB then optical. Most often I just go into manual mode and pick what I want. Not in bios but in the boot manager.
