I needed a deal on Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for 5 PCs. I couldn't find anything great here but eventually found a Newegg deal.

I was able to get 2 in 1 order & the coupon applied to both which got me 6 PCs for $28.97 which less than $5 per PC for a year of protection. I assume this along w/ W10's builtin defender is sufficient.

the coupon only worked for the CD & not the direct download version. bummer

PS - this is a newsletter coupon which means you have to agree to subscribe to the email newsletter for it to work but I assume I can just unsubscribe after the fact.

PPS - if you wanted a lifetime sub like me we're SOL because they don't do those any more.

This product has worked great for me over the years. I have not had issues using it with Microsoft's built in security.

Just a heads up - lifetime keys can be found on various classified forums for around $10-15. You'll be forced to install an older version of Malwarebytes, but the database will still be updated 100% and the protection will be equal to the newer/yearly memberships.

I'm guessing that isn't legal. The newer versions of the app (not the definition updates) will throw out keygen keys.

Pretty sure it's legal... they're unused keys, not generated by some wannabe 1337 hacker. Like I said earlier, you have to use an older version of MalwareBytes for them to work, but you still get all the updates that keep your system as secure as the yearly/new version.

Is this new? I have a sub for 1 PC that says nothing about a 1 year limit. I bought it like 2 years ago. Hopefully they didn't change their model.

I contacted the company directly and they issued me a new key. Just told them I transferred to a new computer. Amazon had giving me a refund on the order that I made through a deal on this site for a lifetime sub as well.

This is BS, Lifetime keys without the disc should be consider counterfeit, fakes, hacked or made from a key generator. Malwarebytes officially stopped selling lifetime keys in March of 2014.

Once validated will the older version of Malwarebytes update to the newer version?

The old version is not what the current version is however. Old version does not have the built in rootkit scanner, and I cannot remember the other new feature that is current version. That is not in the previous.
