Note that while this version does have a HR sensor, it does not do continuous HR monitoring like a fitbit.

It only checks your HR on demand, or if you have the chinese version of the app (not from app store), it'll track your HR while connected to your phone in the Running mode of the app (where you get comprehensive runtastic like tracking using GPS, accelerometer and HR sensor).

The band itself is not capable of storing your HR while not connected/in running mode on your phone. (It is a hardware limitation where they opted to use the same chip as their non HR band, and neglected to upgrade to the newer dialog chip that has more memory for storing data. Dialog DA14580 across the whole lineup. They should have upgraded to the Dialog DA14680 for the HR version, but did not)

Great for sleep tracking and step tracking. Don't buy it if you're expecting fitbit like HR monitoring.

Oh, lastly, their HR sensor algorithm doesn't work for low heart rates. It'll error out telling you to put on the band tighter, or show a >100bpm reading. Only works for when your HR is >55bpm - but is accurate when your HR is above 55bpm.
In China right now and the 1s is 110 RMB with 1 extra band not 69 RMB on Taobao.
The 69 RMB is for the simple no light sensor version.

1s in my experience gave better sleep data.

I have the version of this that doesn't have the heart monitor. Other than a problem with their App from the app store that wouldn't let me register a new account (which was easily fixed by going to the website and setting up the account there and then signing into the app on my phone), It's a great device. From a full charge it is able to go almost a full month between charges (only using it for the sleep and activity monitoring nothing else).

1S does have a heart rate monitor. You would be having its predecessor.

Grabbed one from Geekbuying for $19.80. My first gen kept randomly buzzing even though I turn off all alarms. Hopefully this version doesn't have that bug. Maybe I just got a faulty band.

Becareful. There are many fakes floating around - even on amazon! I purchased 3 from tinydeals which were all legit.

Yes, too make fakes in the market
BTW, it is $69 Renminbi ~ $10.55 USD, the price of $18 is way too expensive

Can't wait for Xiaomi to bring their phones to the US. Those phones are slickdeals even when they're not on sale.

Xiaomi own app won't continually monitor HR, but you can install 3rd party app which do a simi passive measure in time interval

i have been using this , pretty good app given just a small price tag
