Proxy is good to have for multitasking in case you want some apps "protected" and some not. For example, if you don't want to slow down your latency for multiplayer video games but you don't want your browser snooped on.

VPN I use on my cell phone all the time to mask all my activity from my ISP/cell carrier/government, and is really the better option if you want more security in general.

In either case, if you are using Windows, make sure to look into DNS leaking, because it could negate a lot of what you may be trying to protect.

Update: There are many upsides to using VPN on cell phones, especially if you hop around public WiFi a lot. You can feel relatively safe that you can use the hotspots with little chance of nefarious means being used against you to steal your data. It does use a lot more battery though, because all network traffic is encrypted.

Had this for 6 months. Very satisfied and stock interface software is very easy to setup and use.

I might be doing it wrong lol, but I tried to access the UK netflix site using this VPN and it did not work. Although, I am not really proficient in bypassing sites using VPNs so my information is probably not something you should go off of. You can always ask their support though, they are very friendly and are quick to respond.

Repost, but nonetheless a good deal... Here's my review quick review comparing PIA vs NordVPN vs Torguard. TorGuard is better by far in SoCal.
