Catalina info-What are shelf, sale, price plus prices? credit couponmami
  • There 3 prices at SR:
    • 1. Shelf, the price on the sticker on the shelf
    • 2. Sale, the price of the item on sale, no price plus card needed to get the sale price
    • 3. Price Plus price, card needed to get the item at that price (usually a limit of 4 per variety or must by 2 or 4 offers and so forth)
  • When calculating which prices to use to obtain a oyno cat (pay $$, get $):
  • The only time you can really calculate a "spread" is if the item is on price plus discount, then it would be calculated on the pre price plus price (which would either be the sale price or the shelf price, the lesser of the two). Usually items on Price Plus discount are also on sale from their regular shelf price, and then discounted further by use of your card. So you would have to use the pre price plus card price which is usually the sale price when calculating to obtain a $$ wyb $ CAT.
  • If the item is on sale, and you don't need a price plus card to get the sale price, then you would use the sale price in your calculations.
  • How to tell the difference when looking in the ad:
  • Sale - When looking in the ad, if there is NO price plus card and in a red circle/starburst it says "Save $.$$" or "1/2 price".
  • Price Plus price - When looking in the ad, if there is a price plus card icon and in a square with red on top and white on the bottom it says "you save $.$$", then the item is on Price Plus discount.
  • Lastly, you could always ring a transaction without scanning your card, to ensure that the total meets the minimum needed to receive a $when you buy $$ CAT. Then scan your card and your coupons

Thanks, jappy!
I like the Campbells deal, ends up .34 each wyb 8. IF we can get 8 at that price and not restricted to 4 per variety. Will have to look at my ad.

Also, ? on the CG. Again, if the price isn't restricted to 4 and they do have 8, My math gives me this: $26.32 minus $16 for the 4 $4/2 coupons= $10.32. THEN get a $5 Cat (?) to make it $5.32 for 8. From your post, looks like $5.04 THEN get the Cat? I'm confused.
thanx again!

ETA...I see, now. The $5.04 is if your stores prices are at the lower end=$2.63 each. Mine will probably be the high price thats what I was going by.

Close, but no. The eyeliner is limited to 4 per. Black and brown are available. $3.29 is the regular price and $2.63 is the sale price.

Jappy, I would think certain Creams are excluded as the PC Cat reads:

Buy Five (5) Campbell's Condensed soups excluding Healthy Request and Great for Cooking

Some varieties of creams are Great for Cooking

The soup is limit 4 per variety, so you'd have to buy 4 cream of mushroom and 4 cream of chicken. However, as supersavvysaver pointed out, both are labelled as "Great for Cooking", so maybe they won't qualify anyway. (Or is there some other CAT for the soup?)

Field trip report:
Scotties was a go with 12 boxes of tissues. The simply potatoes e-coupon didn't come off sour cream $2.50 potatoes. Axe Body Spray was free with IP $2.00 and e-coupon. I thought the BC boxes potatoes was pretty good 2 @ 1.50 each = $3.00 less .50 on two coupon = $2.00 less .75 e coupons = $1.25. I don't remember if there was a SStar as well. BC Cake Mixes worked with e-coupon as well and paper coupon to make them free. Couldn't find the St. Joseph cough and cold.

There is a really good Scotties deal that was posted on LRWC. They are 1.35 on sale for $1.00 . If you buy 12 you meet a $15 requirement to get a $5 Cat. These also double dip the Saving Star deal which I think is buy $15 get $5. Plus there is an e-coupon that does come off. I think the e-coupon was a $1 off of 5. In todays RP there are coupons for the Scotties plus on RP.com there is a Scotties coupon. For me it was $12 - $1 ecoupon less 3 $1 coupons - $5 Cat for next time - less $5 Saving Star = $2 MM. Stock was already low at the store I went to.

Thanks. I will have to print out another coupon for my next trip then.

Those revtrax coupons dont seem to scan when I try to use them. The chiobani yogurt and the Adams cheese coupons wouldnt scan and the lady in charge would not put them through. She said it was store policy that if internet coupons dont scan, they will not put them through. Does anyone know if this is true? I seem to remember them putting coupons through before.

I had the same problem with the revtrax coupons not scanning at Stop and Shop. Welches grape juice and Bolthouse juice to be specific. Are they real coupons?

I was able to use the Bolthouse and Welches at Stop and Shop though the Welches I had to try multiple times before the scanner would see it.

There is a good deal on the Campbell's tomato soup (or chicken noodle) that works with the CAT... buy 5 tomato soup for $3.79 (the limit on the soup is 4 per variety, but the price plus discount on the tomato is only 4 cents, so the 5th can is 79 cents instead of 75 cents), use the $1/5 coupon from Campbell's Kitchen [campbellskitchen.com], and get back the $1.50 OYNO. So, it's effectively 26 cents per can.

Bought (4) Campbell's Cream of Mushroom and (4) Cream of Chicken soups and got a .75 OYNO. No clue why as the amount does not match anything I've seen yet in the way of catalinas.
