Targets official price match policy
Items do not need to be in stock on Target.com in order to request a price match. Guests who visit a Target store due to out of stock issues on Target.com may request a price adjustment at Guest Services when applicable. Rain checks are not given for price match requests if items are out of stock at a Target store and Target.com.
Ok I'm going to make this real easy and simple
1) bring up the site IN DESKTOP mode.
(A) -iPhone- there's a little square with a arrow in it click it and scroll right and click "request desktop site"
-iPad- same as iPhone but square with arrow is on the top near address bar.
(B) download the google chrome browser app. Open
http://www.target.com/p/xbox-live...A-14897030. Then click the three dots stacked vertical and click " request desktop site "
2) On the site it's says " see price in cart " that's actually clickable text. Click see price in cart, and a little box showing price $17.95. ( if you don't see price in cart clickable use (b) sometimes Safari doesn't work) Now u have targets site showing $17.95. Keep it up on ur device.
3) go to http://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker type in your zip code, and enter (DPCI): 207-08-0219
4) Drive to a target that has stock
5) Get out your car and walk into target
6) walk over to the Xbox live cards and grab one ( I took 13, but a lot of people can only get one, so ymmv)
7) walk up to guest services, put the cards on the counter, and say "I'd like to price match these to your website"
8) show them ur mobile device with the $17.95.
"Oh we don't price match target.com"
Show them https://corporate.targe
"Oh we can't price match because it's out of stock online"

"Oh we can't price match because it's clearance"
They're right, just leave. Exclusions:
Clearance, closeout, liquidation sales, damaged, used, open package, refurbished, pre-owned, or rent/lease to own items, storewide or unspecific offers, non-branded items, or prices that only display on a website after guests log in.
" you can only get one"
Okay. " Limit of one price match per identical item per guest for online competitor matches."
To match the online price, ALL that has to happen is the price has to come up on the ipad they use at customer service to check prices at target.com. This is NOT the website, but a tool that scans the barcode and displays the price. YOU MUST go to customer service to make the pricematch and get the deal.
There are at least two, possibly three versions of this XBL 12 month card. They look pretty much the same, only the bar code is different. So, the MOST IMPORTANT thing is you get the XBL cards with UPC code 7 99366 07811 1. This is the ONLY ONE that will work (I'm assuming this is old stock they are clearing out). The DPCI is not really important in-store. If you get the XBL card with THAT UPC, it will scan to the correct DPCI and you'll get the price match. Other cards that look the same but have a different UPC will scan to a different DPCI and will not automatically work, requiring dumb luck and/or fast talking to get the deal. So make your life easier and get the one with the right UPC to start with.
If they stonewall you without scanning for the price match, show them the target.com price match policy, which says the DO THAT, even for out of stock items at target.com. Direct quote from their site:
"Items do not need to be in stock on Target.com in order to request a price match. Guests who visit a Target store due to out of stock issues on Target.com may request a price adjustment at Guest Services when applicable. Rain checks are not given for price match requests if items are out of stock at a Target store and Target.com. "
Don't be a douche and try to by 5 or 10 or more. THAT will probably end badly. I picked up three cards, no problem at all.
iPhone/iPad users: You can download the Google Chrome app from the App Store. Use Chrome to view the website in desktop mode. You cannot do this by going straight to the link in the original post. You must go to Target.com homepage and use the Chrome option to "Request Desktop version" before you go to the product link. Then you can copy/paste the link from the OP into your Chrome browser. Be sure to tap "check price in cart" for the clearance price to show up.
<-- I was able to see price in safari on my iPad by requesting desktop mode and then searching for dcpi. At that point I could click on see price and was able to see price.
