Thread Details

Just heard on the radio Saturday morning that Dick's Sporting Goods is offering free $20 rewards for signing up for their ScoreCard rewards and turning in your Sports Authority The League rewards card. This is valid for new members only.
I called a few stores in the Long Island NY area and nobody was familiar with it so I called customer service and the rep found the email from Friday and confirmed this.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

On the radio yesterday, I heard an ad for Dick's since several Sports Authority stores are closing around me.

If you bring in your Sports Authority "The League" card and sign up for a new Dick's Score Card, they will give you a $20 gift card. Sounds like it's only good on new accounts, not existing ones.

YMMV since I don't know if they're doing this in all areas.

The commercials were from a Washington, DC area radio station. They didn't mention a specific Dick's, so I'm guessing it's at least in that area. Hence the YMMV.

Upon Dick's Score Card sign-up, I remember I had to give my phone number, e-mail to create an account. So I'd assume they would check your phone number, e-mail and probably physical address(not sure if I gave my actual address)?

That's what I did by logging into my account and printing the card. I signed up online last year with SA so that's all I had.
