THANKS FOR PLAYING...DEAL IS OVER

What's the deal?
Bring your phone over to FreedomPop and activate it through this special BYOD promotion [freedompop.com] and you'll get Unlimited Talk, Text, & 2GB of Data for FREE each month plus Premium Voice for free each month. The Unlimited Talk, Text, & 2GB data plan normally costs $24.99 each month, but is 100% Free when signing up through this deal.

FPOP rep said was not aware of when this deal ends.

Any monthly charge?
If you're only signed up for the Unlimited Talk, Text, & 2GB data plan, then there will be no recurring monthly charge.

Any cost to activate my phone?
BYOD activation normally costs $20, but this fee has been waived for this promotion. There is, however, a mandatory Account Credit/top-up charge of $20 at signup that is only used if you exceed the monthly data allotment.

What happens to that $20?
The $20 Account Credit gets applied to your account and will remain there indefinitely. If you ever exceed your data limit, then the extra data cost will be deducted from your Credit at the rate of $0.02 per MB.

What happens when my Top-Up Credit balance gets low?
FreedomPop ensures you'll never be left without Internet access should you exceed your monthly plan capacity. This plan requires an initial top up of $20 and a minimum balance over $2.00 to protect ourselves from fraud and leakage. Your account will automatically be topped up for $15.00 when your balance dips below.

Can I turn off Automatic Top-Up?
If you activate your phone through this special BYOD promotion, then you will not be able to disable the Automatic Top-Up feature.

Can I keep my current phone number?
Yes, you can Port your existing phone number over to FreedomPop for a one-time charge of $9.99.

Can I add this to an existing account?
No, this is only for new accounts going through this BYOD Promotion.

How do I get even more free data every month?
You can connect with other FreedomPop users through Freedom Friends (found on your account page) and earn up to an extra 500MB of extra data, every month for free! Check out this thread- https://slickdeals.net/f/5276432-freedompop-friends

Connecting Freedom Friends requires sharing your email address with them. Sometimes the ones from SD will email you. Therefore consider creating a separate email address to use for your Freedom Pop signup in case any Freedom Friends send you spam.

Data sharing among Freedom Friends
---------------------------------------
In addition to the 500 MB/month bonus from connecting Freedom Friends, accounts can also be boosted by up to 500 MB a month through data sharing among Freedom Friends. In data sharing, you may transfer extra unused data capacity of up to 100 MB from your account to another Freedom Friend's account (you can give away up to 500 MB total per month) - or you may request a transfer of up to 100 MB of data per request from your Freedom Friends' accounts, and, if they have extra capacity, they can choose to hook you up. People tend to be more generous towards the end of their billing periods and billing periods begin and end on different dates depending on that person's original start date, so it's not unusual to receive additional data even if you never asked for it. Give away your excess data at the end of your billing period (paying it forwards) and, chances are, you'll receive data back later at the end of their billing periods. The larger your pool of Freedom Friends, the larger your potential data sharing pool. Shared data is a one-time transaction and does not reoccur monthly, but you can re-request or resend shared data the next month.

2GB data and Premium Voice ARE NOT TRIALS.

How FPop works/Premium Voice

The way I understand it, Premium Voice works by sending out your call to the Sprint network using the dummy phone number assigned to your phone (can be seen in Settings in About > Status). The network then automatically redirects the call to use your freedompop phone number so that the caller id appears the same. Unfortunately, calling the dummy phone number results in a busy signal. If freedompop could make calls made to your freedompop number redirect to your actual dummy phone number, and pay Sprint to make that number be able to receive calls, Premium Voice would be a much more viable option. Perhaps in the future maybe. As of now though, the service is a little bit useless unless you make outbound calls frequently.

topca$hback now has $15 ca$hback ppl who bought w/Beeefrugal can submit support ticket to match $15, this is smokin hot makes this deal only $5

If it says to call cs when you put in your meid that may well be what you must do...some ppl have had success leaving the last digit off, also try both the hex and Dec #s...perhaps pm fPop rep but quicker solution would be cs

When you first sign up and you put in your cc info you will see "premium plus trial" do not leave this checked or you will be charged $8/mth

Use a virtual cc if you want to make sure you don't get future charges or use one of those visa cards you get from rebates

To activate phone after register go to phone dial ##72786# some phones like note 2 willl activate right away and reboot others like hydro will ask for msl...go to my account then devices and your msl is the third line

under email preferences uncheck 3rd party offers to prevent spamming

to get global 100 go to my account - international - and select 100 it is free

the share data feature seems really interestingWink

...you need to place a call at least once every 30 days...use macrodroid app if necessary...to get $back $15 when you link via tech just replace the last characters of url so it reads "/byodpromo4"

SPRINT as well as Vrgin/Boost will work may encounter some issues see below, but generally Sprint should be no issues as long as off contract no financial obligations. Not T-mobile, not ATT, not Verizon.

For NEW PREPAID PHONES (Sprint/Boost/Virgin):

If it says to call cs you probably will have to get it activated or try suggestions below...

Keep the phones turned off and sealed IN THE BOX them until they are registered on a service. The information for MEID and ICCID is available on the (unopened) box. Turning on a new prepaid phone locks it to the branded carrier (Sprint/Boost/Virgin) when they try to activate. Keeping them turned off allows the FP registration to work first and then they will activate properly.

If that does not work...

Quote from 4B11T:
Guys, here is what I did for my brand new moto e.

I picked up a moto e this morning at best buy, tried to sign up for FP plan, but it failed and said to call the 800 number. So instead I activated the phone on ringplus, truly free plan which doesn't require a credit card. I did this BEFORE turning on the phone. I check and made sure it was fully activated and I can place a call, etc...

I waited about 1 hour, then I used the Ting ESN checker, it says phone ESN passed, but it will say "Looks like your phone is currently active. We can move your number ("port") to Ting and activate your phone". At this point I went back to ringplus and canceled the free plan. This should cause the ESN to be "released" and work.

Within 5 minutes I tried the FP page and it worked. I used the IMEI by dialing *#06# to register.

If that doesn't work lol...call customer service at # given 800-815-7818

Freedompop Customer Service numbers-
To complete your activation, please call 800-815-7818--- (888) 743-8107---(888) 906-3184---855) 703-5785---(888) 673-8518---888) 915-2647--(888) 731-1555--(888) 701-1353, Monday-Friday 8am-8pm PDT.

Warnings:
Premium Voice was incapable of receiving incoming cellular network calls. Only worked for outgoing.
No native text. Text is sent through FP's app over data network.

Please give your device a try at FreedomPop.com/byodpromo4. Newer models may actually go through, even if they aren't Sprint locked, since they may contain the same bands that Sprint uses.
