Wow. I've hard this board running 24/7 as an offsite backup server for at least a year or so now. Has been rock solid. It doesn't see a lot of processor load but has been great to me so far. Thinking of grabbing this as an emergency backup. Not the fastest thing in the world but gets the job done. 18 days to mail the rebate is stupid though.

Do you happen to know if this will this saturate gigabit with samba shares? The CPU is rather weak...

Was thinking of getting this but not sure what I'd use it for. It only has 2 SATA ports, so a replacement for my server wouldn't work. Is it powerful enough to play 1080p?

Just don't expect the rebate to be paid too quickly. My own rebate from the previous deal (November 26, 2015) just got approved and should arrive by April 7.

Seem like an awesome price especially with all the extra perks. What are the main uses for this board? Would this be suitable for normal use with mid range gaming?

I wouldn't consider this for any kind of HTPC. From notebookcheck.net:

Video Performance

The integrated Avivo HD UVD 4.2 video decoder supports in Windows via DXVA MPEG2, H264, VC1, MPEG4p2, and WMV9 in SD, HD (720p), and FHD (1080p). In our DXVAChecker benchmarks the decoder was able to reach 23-44 fps with about 12% CPU load rendering Big Buck Bunny H264 in 1080p. However the slow CPU cores may not be fast enough for decoding video on its own. E.g. using VLC was dropping frames when playing back Big Buck Bunny (even without running Resource Monitor).

I'm guessing one could find a low-profile dual-port NIC for this and make a mean pfsense device.

I could also see it working well as a standalone PBX running something like PIAF.

That didn't include the free wifi mini pci so guessing the value of the pci is $5.

Damn this is a nice start to a low power pfsense box or any random machine you need for low power linux. Too bad the free wifi card doesn't come with an antenna but still mega cheap.

Forget Newegg rebates - I have dozens of rebates I've done other places and all paid, but still waiting on half a dozen Newegg rebates from all the way back to last November. Scammy.

Do not make this your everyday PC. Especially if you want Windows. This is crazy slow even for web browsing given most pages these days are so Java./Script heavy.
