Go ahead and grab it now, even if you don't plan to use it now. Confirmed expiration of the credit isn't until January of next year, so you have 6 and a half months to use it.

LOL! Uber always offers a new rider bonus. Its better to get a referral from a friend so you both get a bonus.

The new ride bonus through a referral is normally only $15-$20 (currently $15). So this promo is double the current bonus.

I just signed up as a new customer and got the $30 promo and it expires Jan. 1st, 2017. Thanks.

You'd have to sign up as a new customer (using a different email address). Not sure if Uber keeps track of CC #s but as long as it's a Chase card (even a debit/checking) it should work.

I have a $22 promo code already loaded, it says I can't add this one. Is there any way to dump the existing one?

Newbie to Uber here:

SO after i select the pick up location to call the uber do i need to do anything else? do i tell the driver directly where i need to go? and how does uber know i have reached my destination so it stops charging?-- i'm guessing the uber driver would do this but not sure if the rider needs to do it too.

I would like to know as well. I just signed up with this promo but I've never used Uber before.

You can get fare estimate. Uber knows when you reached destination when driver taps "ride done" on his phone.

You enter in on your phone what your destination is going to be. It is typically on the screen after requesting an UBER. You can enter in the restaurant/place youre going or the actual address. Once the gps says you arrive at your destination, the UBER driver clicks the stop button and it stops charging. You receive an email from UBER after that shows the map of the trip you took and a break down of cost, so if for some reason he does not click stop or takes an insufficient route, you can contact uber and they will refund/ adjust the charges. This has happened to me when drivers take crazy routes in the city and I have gotten money back, especially important when there is surge pricing.
