Is this really any better than the normal deal they offer? They don't even waive the annual fee for the first year.

I believe it's double the points of the normal offer and they don't waive the fee for that either.

This is the standard deal but they haven't had it for a few months only the 99 dollar AF card.

Sapphire is free first year.


The real value of the SW cards is if you get TWO of them with 50k bonuses (there's 3 total cards still being offered)- because if you get 110k points in a year you get a companion pass.

Which effectively halves the cost (in points or money) of all SW flights for you for the rest of the current year and all of the following year... (which is why it's ideal to sign up in November, and earn the bonuses in January, so you get just about 2 full years of companion pass)
