Are these still refurbished by the recon group? Not sure if that's the right name. Just wondering if people still get these shattered and broken in the box sometimes. Awesome price for a tv though.

Pretty sure this is 60Hz native with software to 120Hz. Check Rtings.
I got the 65" version and love it. But, better to have good info.

Good price, but I guess I won't be buying any Vizio 55" TVs as they are all 60hz below 60". Looking for 120Hz to get away from 3:2 pulldown on movies.

As far as I know Wal-Mart still uses this company. I got 4 60" LG Tv's from TRG all with broken screens before they sent me a working one. Took over a month to get it. On the plus side, I sold all the broken TV's to someone on Craigslist for $25 each. So I have 4 remotes, sets of cables, etc. and got an extra $100 off my TV. But it was a huge pain in the ass...

Not sure about this model, but I got 4 refurb Vizio from Walmart. 2 of them came with cracked screeen. One of them had one dead LED that gave dead spot size of 1/8inch in diameter. Last one came with very small dent on corner of the casing. I ended up keeping the 2 working ones despite the dead LED (65" one for about $450)

Yes 120Hz will only work on 1080p content. 4K has a max of 60Hz with current televisions using HDMI 2.0. Not sure if this model has HDMI 2.0 or the older 1.4 standard. Glad yours is working for you. Personally I'm holding onto my 60" LG plasma (1080p) as long as I can, but I'm watching these threads for the day it goes out.

How did they require proof of damage? I assume digital photos emailed to them?

Or did they just trust your word?

Do they have these in the store or do you have to buy them online?

Can you purchase a warranty with this? The price is tempting, but refurbished...

Do the door greeters process them after-hours or what?
