I found that Walmart is now carrying Ozark Trail coolers which are very similar to the high dollar Yeti coolers. I did some research to find that they perform just as well for a fraction of the cost.

I bought one in each size

26 quart - $96 Dimensions: 19.9 L x 13.25 W x 15.75 H
52 quart - $147 Dimensions: 30.25 L x 17.2 W x 17.2 H
73 qt - $194 Dimensions: 32.25 L x 19.2 W x 18.3 H

Item numbers for Brickseek:
26qt: 49229405
52qt: 49229404
73qt: 49229408

The sku for the 36 can soft cooler is 52620406.

YMMV because not all stores have them in stock. My store had a whole wall of them.
Our premium insulation and rugged construction are complemented by a whole range of features, like stainless steel locking plate with built-in bottle opener, T-handle latches, reversible anti-skid/slide feet, garden hose compatible oversized drain with threaded plug, wire basket, 4 drink holders, built-in fish ruler and heavy-duty handles with comfort grip for easy carrying. And just in case you run into any trouble, this cooler has been tested by the USDAs Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee and certified bear-resistant.

Now this is a hilarious review. Be warned.....it has objectionable language....

I bought the 26&52qt a couple of weeks ago and they work just like the other (Yeti) type coolers that cost hundreds more. The company making these for Walmart is also making them for Gander Mountain, just in a different color but for a lot more money. Walmart is crushing it w/these coolers and their Ozark Trail tumblers that are the same as Yeti. Ozark Trail also has a series of knives that are under $4 that are highly rated (I know but just google and look at the reviews). I've never been a big fan of Walmart but they have seriously stepped up their game in the sporting goods dept!

I bet these will be hard to find. It's already hard enough to find those dang Ozark Trail Tumblers. While I probably wouldn't buy one of these I hope that they will drive some of the market away from Yeti. They might be the gold standard but there are many other brands like Canyon, Orca, Grizzly that do similar or better than the Yeti for less. Of course those brands are still more than the Ozark Trail but you are also paying for attention to detail and being Made in the US. Still, great to have choices and for a 3-5 day trek I bet the Walmart brand ones will do just great.

Thanks OP! Picked up a 52qt yesterday. That store still had a wall full of all 3 sizes. About 5-7 coolers each in 52 and 73 and over 12 in the 26qt size, must be that missing drain hole in the smaller one! Wink
