Last deal I saw was for a Kenmore 4.2 cu, this whirpool is 5.1 cu
Kenmore was 12,000 BTU, this whirlpool is 15,000 BTU
Whirlpool includes a griddle
both are stainless steel dinish and continuous grates.

Great deal for those who are looking!

I'm in the market, but some of the reviews aren't encouraging.

And what's worse are some of Whirlpool's responses to seemingly valid complaints like "gets almost too hot to touch on the outside with oven on." Responding with "Sorry, government regulations make it hard for us to make a good range anymore" is not reassuring.

awesome deal. I had $121 in SWY and I needed a gas range since my new house has a gas connection.

this really is a good deal. i got my electric kitchenaid range at employee pricing plus $100 discount and still paid $555 just about a year and a half ago.

i might go home and check to make sure I do indeed have a gas hookup behind my stove and consider an "upgrade".

I liked the "Did the knobs melt, yet?" response.

Tempted, but don't want to buy a stove that costs more than my fridge 👀

Sounds like a BS quote to me. No doubt it gets warm, but whirlpool would never say that to a customer.

Converting house from electric to gas so this stove has my eye - thanks OP.

Does anyone have experience with the broiler drawer on these stoves? It looks kind of a pain to actually use because its so low.

I was paraphrasing slightly, and the "too hot to touch" comments are elsewhere, but that is exactly what they said to a guy who had about five other valid complaints:
We manufacture several different models with various feature and accessory designs while trying to provide appliances that are versatile in meeting the needs of our customers and adhering to increasing governmental restrictions. We are sorry if some operating characteristic or feature is unsatisfactory, and we apologize for any inconvenience this concern has caused you. Thank you
"Sorry the oven can't hold a stable temp, hope your cake turns out OK!"
