if you buy anything at costco you do not have to call manufacturer for warranty. call costco concierge service and they take care of everything for you.

for what it's worth, I love my hisense 50" 1080p. The ONLY things I would change are deeper black levels and better app selection. but other than that I'm super happy with the picture. also, hisense customer support is awesome. needed a new remote and they just sent me one without even asking for proof of purchase

Bought a Hisense refurb (42-inch) a couple years ago, and so far very, very happy with the quality.

They recently acquired Sharp's North American TV factories, but don't know if this one is assembled in the U.S.

The fact that Costco is the retailer certainly piques my interest.
I had been chasing the elusive clearance M50-C1 at Target/Walmart but have all but given up.

Does anybody have experience with this set for current-gen console gaming?

There isn't much to laugh, they score pretty high in the last reviews.

I bought what I think is the same model from Walmart last year. I really don't like it. app selection is horrible, Amazon and youtube app dont do 4k. Media Player doesn't support many file types. I've only ever seen 4k through netflix on here, and am not that impressed. The interface is not intuitive or user friendly, and wastes a lot of time and effort.

Bought a amazon fire 4k box to workaround the amazon smart tv app not supporting 4k, but 1080p in the smart tv app looks better than amazon 4k through hdmi.
Also, had to have the motherboard replaced after a firmware update borked the whole tv, and it took 4 months and 30 or more phone calls to tech support to get the hdmi to handshake the copy protection to the tv working again.

I was literally going to just drive to the hisense local office and throw it through the front door at one point.

So, all in all, I wish this TV would break again so I can get a better brand.

Got a Hisense 55" 1080p 240hz (120 native) for ~400 from Walmart a couple months ago. Great TV so far, VA panel, Mirrorcast, apps, etc..
