Agreed, they have a great policy. It is just blatantly abused at my local store.

Why is it a stupid comment? It is a policy that is abused by quite a few individuals that will ruin it for those that have a legitimate complaint/product return in the future.

My point regarding the Lipton is, why buy a 300 count if you have never tried it before. Goto the local grocery store and pick up a 20 pack to see if you like it...even easier, go through the McDonald's drivethrough and get a cup of it. He abused (you'll probably say utilized) the system because he knew full well he could return it if he didn't like it. He was lazy. He now returned the product to Costco, who can no longer sell it and needs to throw it away, or donate it (which is what the customer should have done)...thereby potentially raising prices for ALL of us.
And this is why they will change their policies....

Same goes for the gentleman I saw returning a 300+count of lipton tea bags a few years ago after trying 2-bags of it. If you have never tried Lipton tea before, why would you buy 300 bags of it?
this is not the rule for all manufacturers (if any at all). i'm curious what your source is. I have already finalized an agreement and am currently in production for a Costco exclusive item. We are not required to take anything back. We have a damage/defective allowance agreement and it's very fair for both parties. It's basically a discount to cover damage/defective returns. Costco also has our permission to donate customer returns to charity. This is one of several options we had regarding customer returns/defects.

Bought a pair last year at Costco and the sole wore down fast.
Returned them after three months.
If you get a pair please keep an eye on the sole for excessive wear.

Thanks for the heads-up. How were you able to return them after 3 months? Whats the return policy on these?

It's Costco. I also returned an unused pair and showed them how much it had worn down. No problem with the return.

I was at Costco today looking at these shoes. They look like someone just slapped them together. Glue was all over the toe and as another comment mentioned, the sole is a hard plastic that just screams, "I will wear out soon!". There are some decent Asics there for $40. They might be the way to go instead.

I've been hearing this for YEARs and to that extent they have changed their Electronics policy a few years back as that also used to be Return Anytime (people returned 10 year old TVs when the LCDs started to hit the market).

That being said they have a generous return policy because of how they are setup and is truly a "feature" of their membership that people pay for.

Yes, I am sure it gets abused but I doubt they will change it the policy for the masses.

Lastly, these Fila shoes are really really bad in quality and the Fila brand has truly cheapened out in the last couple years.

Because you can't buy anything with fewer bags at Costco? Wink When things go wrong, they go wrong supersized.

That said, I saw some ridiculous abuse of the old returns policy. I think I saw the same people every 3 months returning their current electronics rental. shake head
