Hi all, I picked up a Nikon D3200 + 18-55mm ED II + 55-200 ED + Bag for $199 at target the other day. Not a bad deal even though Walmart had it cheaper.

You must have gotten very lucky since I don't see that in any Target store within hundreds of miles from me.

Where is it cheaper at Walmart - do you have a link? I couldn't find that either.

Thanks.

Have a couple near me but I believe they are store displays since the "saleable quantity" is 0 although the on hand quantity is one. Anyone know if Target sells store displays? and if they do, do they offer any additional discounts?

My target store told me a few weeks ago that they didn't sell displays but recently started selling them because they got a new manager or something. I would just call and ask. I have no clue about the discount. I think target keeps theirs in a glass case.

thanks op! picked one up...store showed 0 but decided to go look in the camera isle since I was already there..to my surprise, they had a box sitting right there...the handheld scanner wouldn't show price and indicated it wasn't sold at the store...but rung up as $199 at the service desk. Went to pick up an $8 item...ended up spending $200. SD effect to the max lol.

They do sell the displays just don't ask the employees because they sometimes say no tell them to ask the for the (LOD) Lead on Duty and talk to them personally because they are the ones that can give you additional discounts if the camera is scratched or it has missing items since they can override the price at the register.

This is incredibly YMMV. 25+ stores within a 50 mile radius of me, and Brickseek shows NA for every single one with a red X on the map. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

there is one at a store near me. are these worth it over a cell phone camera like the Galaxy S7? I'm no photographer, but I sell things like guitars online and getting amazing photos sells things quickly. worth $200?

MASSIVE difference between a cell phone camera and a proper SLR. Even a entry-level one like this one will produce WAY higher quality photos.

I decided to just google it like I should have. I watched some videos on YouTube comparing. the difference is far from massive. The S7 actually was better in some respects. I will pass. I'd rather put the $200 to a high end smartphone. Thanks for the reply.

So watching a youtube video showed you the S7 was a better camera than a dslr? Ok then, you are the type of person who does not need/want high quality images..and that's fine. The S7 is great (excellent all around phone) for social media and prints up to 5x7, but for anything more, you need the right tool and the Samsung is not it.

Best of luck with that. Videos and photos are two entirely different animals. When it comes down to it, the size alone of the CMOS sensor in this camera will allow it to take better PHOTOS vs a cell phone's CMOS sensor. No amount of trickery or software will get around that fact.
