The 27" ones don't have the VESA mounting holes to be wall-mounted right? No rear picture at Best Buy, but judging from the thinness of the display, I'm guessing not.

From the pictures that show the back I don't see any holes or a cover that would hide VESA holes.

I take it this monitor would be better than the Acer S271HL DBID from a week ago right?

I havnt seen this HP yet, but I bought the Acer and returned it. Couldn't get the blacks ...black & whites.... white. The HP is also IPS and the Acer is a VA.
All depends on your needs for a monitor...or your budget.Smilie

If you don't need VESA mounts this is a decent monitor for under $200.00.

[bestbuy.com]

I ended up returning it for this Dell with vesa mounts for $200.00 ( looks like BB just raised it back to $229.00, but Amazon lowered to $200.00 so you can price match)

http://www.amazon.com/Dell-S2715H...B00M9B3S0W

( only if you like or can deal with a GLOSSY screen )

AOC has a 1440 for what seems to be a decent price at BB.

I probably should have gotten that one but I decided I'd get the IPS from Dell even though its a 1080. I was trying to keep my budget to around $175.00

Depends on your preference, need a monitor thats also good for gaming? Need one more for media or for good viewing angles and picture quality? TN Panel vs IPS Panel, 60 HZ vs 144HZ, etc.
Good place to start is to find a forum/site that has a ranking for specific monitors, I know that for 144hz monitors there are a ton that people list in the 250-350 range online.
