There's another thread for a combo deal on the 4x8 racks with some accessories, but for those who can't fit something as large as 4x8 there are smaller racks at Costco that just had another price drop. Pretty good deal, lowest I've seen.

3'x8' rack $89.99 ($140 on Amazon)

2'x8' rack $69.99 ($120 on Amazon)

If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

It seems I need to do some measurement tonight. I got two 4x4 in store a few months ago for $50 each. Basically like a 4x8 for $100.

These things are great for getting stuff off the floor and make your garage serves its purpose of storing a car. Have two of these in my garage and saved so much space. Very high quality stuff too and adjustable. The long support brackets make it easier to hang them onto two joists.

You don't have to be a member to purchase from Costco, you just have to pay the small non-member surcharge. For the first item above, that is only $4.50

does anyone know if hanging against I-Joist works? (the engineered type floor joists as opposed to wood joists?)

You'd need to contact the manufacturer of the the wood I joist to see if it's safe to screw in to the flange, and whether or not they are capable of support the additional weight of the rack + stuff.

I'd rather buy some 4x4 instead of the 4x8 since its cheaper, but there isn't any at my local Costco.

Anyone see these in store in SoCal???

I got those about a year ago when it was on sale. I have gone through one cycle of winter tire and regular tire replacement already. Those racks have gone for months at my Costco.

You mean costco.com, right? I don't think they let non-members shop in their warehouses [costco.com] for most items. But I could be wrong.

Great product and customer service. Saved me a good bit of space when I was able to move all the Christmas and other little-used stuff to the ceiling.

I bought 2 4x8's when Costco had a deal on them about a year ago. I think they are awesome!

Just in case this helps anyone; the instructions say they CANNOT be used on metal studs, and I called to confirm this when I found out my condo garage used this type of stud. I did some research, and found the one authorized installer in my area (San Diego) and gave him a call and filled him in on what I wanted to do. He knew my condo complex, and knew exactly how to handle the install! So don't give up if you think you're garage can't accommodate these.

I've got lots of stuff on each of these, and I can do push-ups all day on them without it feeling any less sturdy.

Dumb question. We have a sloped ceiling. Will this work?
