LEGO City Trains High-speed Passenger Train 60051 is on sale for $82.39 at Amazon [amazon.com] and Target [target.com]. Regular price is listed at 149.99 at Amazon (45% discount) and 102.99 at Target (20% discount).

This was a FP deal when it was $102 just last month.

Free shipping for both sites. If you have a RedCard you can likely save an extra 5%.

It's a great deal to buy and then part it out and make more money back on the parts of the set on eBay

Boy this is a great price. Not sure how long it will last at Amazon. It's OOS at Target, so that should be removed from post.

I just can't get beyond the fact this is 3 cars and small rail circle. The minifig, sign, bike, and crossing don't add much value. I feel like this should be <$100 retail. Can't pull the trigger...

Just got it at Amazon along with applying for an Amazon store card for an extra $20 off promo + 5% to make the price level with Target+RedCard. Thanks op!

You're making me second guess my purchase. Thinking u may be right but it is a neat set. Think it will get any lower? Not sure if this is a retiring set or not.

Great price. Solid train set. I got this a few weeks back at $100. Worth every penny for a 4 year old that loves Legos. Not much to the track but easy to add on.

On a previous thread in April, it seems that most trains last 4 years, so this shouldn't retire until 2018.

It has steadily come down in price over the past 1+ years, and I think based on its size it could come down, but this is a pretty big one-day drop. It's risky, but I'm happy with the cargo train purchase instead, even though it was $50 more.
