For those who are rebates-adverse of the full synthetic oil deals:

Walmart has the Super Tech High-Mileage 5W-30 conventional motor oil for $8.16 per jug, which is around $1.63 per quart.

Also regular 5W-20 jug for $10.56, which is $2.11 per quart.

And conventional 10W-30 for $2.04 per 1 quart bottle.

High-Mileage 5-qt jug for $10.65

High Mileage 10W40 for $10.80.

Add tax. Free in-store pickup.

It might be online-only. I bought 10W-30 bottles for in-store pickup yesterday. The ones on the shelf were still marked $2.44. It might be that they haven't updated the prices on the shelf-stickers yet; not sure.

Super Tech motor oils are made by Warren, or maybe Pennzoil judging from the link. High-Mileage oils have more additives and seal conditioners (and likely some swelling agent to seal gaskets) than regular oils. The HM 5W30 and FS 10W30 5-qt jugs are the better deals.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

That's largely up to you to decide.

Oil-manufacturers say around 75000 miles. Some manufacturers say their HM oils are good for vehicles new and old. In my opinion, it's probably more like 125K+. You should give high-mileage oils a shot if you notice that you need to top off the oil in-between oil changes more frequently than in the past. Or better yet, find and fix the source of oil leaks or consumption if financially feasible or practical.

75k.
high mileage oil is better than regular oil because of the additives, and it tends to be more expensive than regular oil. at this price it's cheap.

Uhh, is there a review somewhere of the additive package? I remember seeing a video where this oil turned into honey once the temperature was low enough, where a more expensive oil stayed in liquid form.
