Other cameras that don't use this style mount can be swapped out for other mounts, but since this one uses the power with the mount you can not swap mounts on it. I have tried with a similar mounted camera (A G90). I cut the top part off, and the ball mount underneath is too small to put with the top part of my other mounts.

I disagree. A good DashCam is purpose built to withstand the heat inside of a car, and has one purpose record video so all of its processing power for the most part goes to that task. It also features things like HDR to help improve night time recording where as phones might not have this.

If you drive a car yes.
If you ride a motorcycle or scooter yes, and you will want a different model
If you ride a pedal bike yes, and you will want a different model

A big step? I would say no. It uses the same internals. However from what I read built quality is better.

Try using a paper clip and pushing on it to get it to eject. If that does not work you might need to take it apart.

The camera won't be completely useless because there is a power port on the camera itself. It has been mentioned that this is built better then the G90 the camera I am used to using with the similar type mount. However I personally am not a fan of the mount because it does not allow me to swap it out for a smaller or different type mount if I wanted.

Also know as a B40 or A118. I have worked with a Rexing V1 as well and they are not bad. Although if you live in a warm area the Rexing V1 seems to be battery only. You might want to look for a compactor based A118-C These use the same internals as both this N1 and a G1W

Great video camera!

Got this a few weeks ago for $89.99 and have been using it since in my Honda Accord. Love the feature where it is easy on and easy off. Makes taking it off the mount and then storing it in my glove department a breeze.

I know with some of the other cameras, there have been complaints about how much of a hassle it is to store it each time.

However I do not have that issue with this Vantrue model. High Def, 1080P. Safety first, and this ensures that you have proof in case you ever get into a car accident.

Great video camera!
Can you offer a little more information?
What is the bitrate on this one?

It seems like it uses the power pin type mount. This is a big hassle with similar cameras notably the G90. This is because you are not able to swap the mount with other smaller low profile mounts, and after awhile the contacts or plastic around may loosen causing fitment and powering issues issues. Is there a power port on the actual camera as well?

Thanks.

Up until now I have not had any issues with this "hassle" that you are claiming. So I am not familiar with this issue. I think to each their own, but I have not face that problem.
And yes, it also has a mini USB port on the camera itself.

I reviewed this here: https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/thr...330.17995/
Has great video quality.

The mount is much better and secure than G90 plus the camera is smaller so not that much stress on the mount.
It's pretty small and if you mount it close to RV mirror, it's hard to notice from outside so not really necessary to take it out every time you park.

The camera itself also has a mini USB power port if needed.

Thanks. Guess I should have double checked. I've been slacking a little over there. I was tempted to pull the trigger to test it out myself, but I have had a few things come up that have been taking my time away.

"The camera has a rechargeable battery built in, but it is just 150mAh, and can support the camera to work for only about 10 mins. So when you install it in the car, you will have to keep it plugged in the car charger to work.
"
So how is that enough for Parked car AND to keep clock running? (so that it does not need to be reset every time you power on)

Not sure i understand what you're asking, but to keep the settings in the camera uses very little power. If you want the camera to record when the car is parked and off, you will need to hardwire it to a constant power source.

Looks really nice! Anyone know anything about the parking mode? Amazon just gives a very basic gist.
