Details about your Norton subscription:
  • Your subscription begins when your purchase is completed for online payments, (or otherwise, when your payment is received). You must download and install on each device to be protected by Norton.
  • You are enrolling in a recurring subscription that will automatically renew after the first term.
  • If an introductory or limited-time offer is presented, the offer is valid on the first term of your subscription only (term length depends on your purchase). After that, your subscription renews each year at the then-current subscription renewal price. The price is subject to change, but we will always notify you in advance.
  • Your subscription includes protection updates and new features as available during your subscription term, subject to acceptance of the Norton License Agreement [symantec.com]. You will have coverage on the specified number of devices during the subscription term.
  • Features may be added, modified, or removed during the subscription period.

WARNING!

The one year service starts the moment you purchase.
I have 4 computers. One with Norton, one with Avast, one with AVG, one with Kaspersky. Norton is THE only one that consistently protects me from viruses and malware from the porn sites I visit. Just one man's opinion.
Hasn't been slow or bloated since the overhauled 2009 release, in my experience.

So is there a way to add it to current sub at all or can you suspend it somehow? Good deal but the auto start is irritating...

Yah, the auto start thing is a bunch of crap. I guess it is their way of suckering people in. But, I think they might wind up irritating a lot of loyal customers in the mean time...however, once it is purchased, they won't worry about it for another year and buy that time, they will have had time to get over the anger.
I have 89 days left. I may just go ahead and do it at this price.

Does anyone know how long this deal will last? I would prefer to stretch out my current subscription as long as possible.

How are the Norton products lately? I mean I'm a gamer and the last thing I need is for it to be scanning and shit on my final dual round.

I hope people see this because we are so used to receiving codes that start later.

I'm wondering this too. I didn't think anyone used Norton anymore, but apparently I'm wrong.

I use Norton, but admittedly only because my work provides a copy of it. It does its job pretty well so I don't bother with any other antivirus.

99% sure you can turn off auto-renew pretty easily though.
