Was checking out my Target electronic clearance section and came across this.

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi and 3D BDP-S5500 $41.98

Currently $85 on their website.
http://www.target.com/p/sony-blu-...A-14463893
And lowest I could find online from other vendors is $80.

Great price for a 3D, Wi-Fi, Streaming Blu-ray Player.

Use Brickseek to check your local Target:
http://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker

DPCI Number: 008-06-1052

This may be extremely YMMV right now, only two stores in my area had it $41.98- most were $69.98 of full price.

I am not sure whether 6500 is good or not, but I got one from Dell for $90.

Only real difference I can see between the 5500 and 6500, is the 6500 does 4K up-conversion. Don't really need if you don't have a 4K TV- and if you do, most modern 4K TVs have up-scaling built-in anyway.

The Target next to my work has 37 in stock for $41.98. Don't think I have a use for one of these though. All the others are showing $139.99.

Half the dozen stores in my area show $70 and the other half $140. Plenty of stock in most of them.
The only one showing $42 is sold out.

Correct- in store only. YMMV stands for Your Mileage May Vary- meaning you may have to drive to stores farther from your area, or multiple stores to find the clearance item.

This is true of most Target clearance sales, as clearance is individually store managed, based on several factors: inventory, sale thru, size of store/available shelf space, etc.

That is why most on slickdeals use BrickSeek as their starting point. Notice I said starting point, as it is not always 100% accurate, either in quantity or price. Though rare, I have occasional gone to a store where the item is either not in stock, or not yet at the clearance price posted yet.

Target's clearance starts at 30%, then will got to 50%, before finally hitting 70%.
That is why some store have it for $69.98 (50%) and others $41.98 (70%).

Hope that clarifies.

Either 139 or 69 at all stores around here, don't even know why I bother, the Targets around here *never* have any good deals like these. Never seen a single one in all the years I've been on SD.
