newegg.com [newegg.com] Has the Ricoh SP C250DN Color Wireless Laser Printer for $70 Shipped.

This deal has come up in the past and has good reviews. Toner can be refilled cheaply($14 each), but replacement cartridges are expensive, keep this in mind when ordering as the shipped cartridges are starters (1000 pages).
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I'm not an electrician BUT, if it's anything like my b&w brother laser, it spikes at 9-12 amps when a job is sent. So it almost maxes out a 15 amp circuit. If anything else is on that circuit, like lights, they will flicker.

I had an electrician run a separate circuit just for this and now no flicker.
I know you're not the original poster, but thought I'd shed a little light. I repair office equipment, specifically laser copiers and printers. While I don't work on this brand any more, any laser printer you get, unless on a seperate circuit, is going to dim the lights. They use something called a fusing unit, which physically melts and presses the powdered toner into the paper. Toner melts at a relatively high temperature. In order to obtain these high temperatures, they use long halogen bulbs inside the fusing rollers to heat them. Depending upon size of unit and speed at which it can print, these halogen bulbs can range anywhere from 500 to 750 watts each, and can have as many as 4 bulbs in a fuser. A unit this size most likely only has one 500 or 600 watt bulb. That of course is just the heating, it doesn't take into account all the rest of the unit, and the high voltage conversion board used to create a charge on the drum, transfer belt, and transfer roller in order to actually create the image and then transfer it onto the paper...

I got this for $50 and aside from it being a tad loud and making the lights dim when it comes on, it's not bad. :p

I'm trying to get a pretty new ink jet printer to work for the thousandth time. I'm tired of dealing with it. This seems like a good price to get into a laser. I print labels on eBay and my wife uses it for homeschooling. The problems are a huge headache.

On second thought, anyone have any suggestions on one with copying/scanning capablilites? Otherwise I would have to keep the current all-in-one inkjet that I hate.

Is monochrome fine for you, or do you need color?
